Define "with an understanding." Unless it is written down and the dealership had signed off on an agreed upon price, your understanding and the dealership's understanding may be many thousands of dollars apart.

I am 100% okay with being wrong. I'd rather know what is right, than be wrong and think I am right. As you stated, it's all about learning. Unfortunately, many adhere to the trope, "ignorance is bliss."
