I believe Ford Corporate is royally pissed at the three dealerships who offered below MSRP deals. They have been stiff-arming them this entire process. I don't think of it as a problem for Ford, but rather an opportunity to f*^k with them (and us buyers) along the way.
Just remember you have 3 years after your 'in service' date to purchase from a Ford dealership. Yes, it will be more expensive in three years, but it runs concurrent with the factory three year warranty.
I am keeping my eye on the used market. I am a manual, 2-door order. I have a feeling the prices will drop later this year when more units get into the marketplace. Without my reservation time stamp at my new dealership, I am going to be waiting forever for my 'new' order or my Granger order.....
