Absolutely. And you can control your gear changes when going up an icy hill, instead of having an automatic kicking down a gear and triggering a loss of traction.
Unreal. Manual transmissions have been on the market for decades. How do they not have it figured out by now.
I can understand modern autos having issues because they’re constantly adding more gears, more computerization, more engineering...but how do you screw up a manual??
The army green one is sharp. I almost pulled the trigger on a Tacoma TRD Pro in that colour when it came out, it’s so sharp. Decided to wait and see what the Bronco looks like.
That would solve my “how to hunt with a Bronco” question I posed a while back, eliminating the need for a hitch hauler or trailer. Hope you’re correct. (y)
...and I’d probably leave it in “truck mode” all the time. Bad ass and more practical.
Didn’t mean that as a bad thing at all. Good, actuallly. (y)
A slightly scaled up Jimny with a more powerful motor...yes please. Just hope there’s enough space behind the rear seat and/or it’s easily removable/folded down.
Good post. Hope you’re right.
Kind of off topic, but I think the 2 door in this colour would look a lot better with a black roof, or in some colours, a white. Not digging the colour matched.
I agree. But it depends what they do with the fold down or removable(?) rear seats. I want a 2 door, but if there’s no usable space behind the rear seat, and it doesn’t look like it from the exterior pics,, it’s just too impractical for daily use for me. If they have an innovative rear seat that...
When I bought my Goldwing, I didn’t even consider the DCT...the manual is part of the fun. Same for other vehicles, for me, shifting is driving and driving is fun. For the wife, she’s a point A to point B person, driving isn’t “fun” for her, she just want a to get there. Lol
She also blew a...
I’ve also heard of people with a lot of the new autos having issues with very hard shifting in the cold...and I’m talking real cold...-30, -40, not the fake cold a few were talking about on here a few days ago. Lol
I'm pretty firm on the manual, but the wife wants an auto. She’s open to the...
I’m planning on a manual as well. The new autos with the 10 speeds with all the skip-a-gear and other features worry me. There’s a good chance this will be my last ICE vehicle and I plan on keeping it for a long time. Odds are in 7-10 years, there’ll be a viable and affordable BEV or hydrogen or...
You might have a case in southern climates. But in cold climates, air suspension is 100% useless. Air only, like in the Dodge trucks are complete garbage and our dealers up here in Canada are full of them waiting for repairs...they replace everything then they’re back in the dealer again shortly...
2007 Tacoma with 203,000 kms, been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned but ready for an upgrade.
My daily driver for 3 seasons and summer tourer, 2018 Honda Goldwing.
Yeah, I only get drawn for moose or elk every 15 years, I’ll use a trailer when that happens. Just sucks using a trailer for deer when a lot of the driving is in rough terrain.
I only hunt around my old stomping ground where my dad still lives on the farm. I only need to transport it a maximum...
That works for those tiny southern whitetails, but not their northern cousins ;-) . Our bucks are hard to load in a pickup with 2 people. Only way to get it on a roof rack would be in quarters. I don’t like cleaning my deer in the field, rather do it in the shop with a hoist/gambrel where it...
