No way in hell would I grind that bracket out. Try to remove the broken stud with vice grips first or go get an āeasy outā. Being that it is not rusted or cross threaded that will be a piece of cake.
Anyone move the keypad to below the handle? I feel like that would be more aesthetically pleasing for those not wanting to go to the gas cap all the time. Thereās not much room on the 2Dr pillar.

Anyone know if it uses a dual mass flywheel? My R56 Mini (Getrag trans as well) did the same thing until I changed the TOB, clutch, and flywheel, but the TOB looked and felt fine. From my reading, those dual mass flywheels have a tendency to squeak and rattle after a certain point.
On one hand, the damage was likely already done and itās under warranty so no big deal.
On the other, Iād be irritated that the driver was too lazy to use his rollback and if it was out of warranty Iād be pissed that they could have made it worse.
I thought I saw a ā22 green manual sas, so they must be buildable.
