Really hoping it’s true. 4.7 gearing on 33’s would be fantastic and if they could fix the issue with not being able to add sound deadening hard top with 2.7 engine, my badlands is ready to order.
I get swayed every time by Sasquatch when I see pictures, but a 4 door badlands non Sasquatch with the optional beadlock wheels with 33 inch tires will be my choice. Quite a bit cheaper overall and the BFG all terrains are fantastic tires.
If you want to spend the money or ever think you’ll...
According to the B&P, Badlands can be optioned for 4.7 gearing with automatic transmission and no Sasquatch. Is this another glitch or is this a possible free upgrade? If so, makes it easier to go with the stock 33’s and then upgrade to 35’s later.
feel your pain, black mirror caps and grill don’t match as well anymore.
im pretty confident the leather seats all have power seats, just missing wording in description for wildtrak. Same situation on outer banks where the navy interior says power seats but brown leather does not.
I have to...
if the MIC was black, there would be almost no uproar. I don’t believe the modular top is only better because the rear window removal and paint, it has to be better materials to justify the additional cost.
but, we’re still talking about a car with removal tops and panels so if you go mic, and...
i think they look better on this squatched bronco than the outer banks ones we’ve seen. Plus it keeps idiots from opening their doors into your car :)

Are you going Sasquatch or no squatch?
I’m doing similar to you (Area 51, 2.7l), but 4-door,lux package, gray hard top. I also like the look of the stock wheels but if the 17 inch beadlock they’ve shown for the 33 inch tires isn’t crazy expensive, I may go for those.
It’s also one of the few colors that actually looks good with gray top. Area 51, badlands gray grill, mic gray top as seen on overland concept looks more concept than production car, in a good way. Probably my #1 choice at the moment.
If you don’t mind the gray top, you can also get an OBX with gray top and leather for not much more than wildtrak with black top based on survey pricing. Seeing the A51 badlands with the vinyl looked awesome though.
Good news is, both of these look fantastic (badlands vs wildtrak with Sasquatch) so I don’t think anyone will be upset not getting Sasquatch. Although those that get Sasquatch might be a little happier ;-)
Badlands no squatch vs:
wildtrak
I was also hung up on sport mode from the wildtrak but the reviews of the vinyl this week kept me in the badlands camp. I also think having a missing hero switch (sway bar) on the dash would drive me nuts.
Thank you for feedback!
Seeing them in person, how did the 33’s compare to the 35’s in terms of looks? I’m going badlands but struggling to determine if 33’s will look too small on the 4-door or if the 35’s are worth the upgrade (and price). I’m no experienced off roader so 33’s will be more...
Thanks!
Lag doesn’t seem that bad. Love the graphics for each mode too.
I will live with a little lag to have a fully wireless experience (OTA updates and Apple CarPlay).
