If 6-7 qts are fine according to Ford.
Put 7qts in it & don’t change the dip stick.
As long as the oil level is above the low mark you are GTG.
Does the oil level have to show in the middle of the hash marks?….No
If you plan on 35s go with the SAS, for the M210 vs the M190 front, plus lockers.
Unless you are just building a pavement princess, then you will need new carriers and a gears. Figure $1500 in parts plus labor (my guess $1000? I do my own gears).
I am very content with my base 4dr. I do have the 2.7l but do not miss most of the tech of the upgrade options.
My wife has a fairly loaded XLT F150 so I know what I would be missing. Adaptive CC is nice.
as far as off road and lockers. Not really needed for mild stuff but it is a nice to...
I gave my dealer my DL when I ordered mine.
I had also planed to go though my CU for my loan (2.24%) But my dealer was determined to beat it and they did (1.99%).
So I have been able to use the as built for programming global windows and goat modes.
while programming global windows BdyCM section I did get the error when saving but it took the change.
still no luck with A.S.S.
may have to buy a separate ass eliminator.
it should with 4.46.
on paper the Bronco with 3.73s should beat a F150 with 3.55s. Lighter, same engine, same gear ratios in the trans and same tires.
in real life you get blaaa, blaaa, GO!!!!
i also had a 2020 F150 with 5.0L and 3.73s
From the line the 2.7L in the F150 with 3.55s would beat...
No complaints with my 21 F150 w/ 2.7 3.55gears 32" tires. No gear hunting issues and launches in Sport mode.
My Bronco 2.7 3.73 gears and 32" tires is fine after 3rd gear but has horrible throttle lag in first and second. Only have 300ish miles so far but haven't notice any gear hunting...
The noticeable issue it the slow start compared to the F150 and the throttle response is slower.
another thought other than protection of the transmission was to protect the axles with big tires.
If I didn’t have the 2.7 in the F150 I probably would be inIgnorance bliss.
I have a 2021 F150 SCREW 2.7L with 3.55 gears and a 2022 Bronco 2.7L with 3.73 gears. Both with 32” tires.
There is no comparison between the two. I thought the Bronco would be a rocket ship with the 2.7 based on my experience with the F150, I was wrong. Ford limited the output in the Bronco...
I have a 21 XLT F150 SCREW w/ 2.7
And a 22 4dr Base Bronco w/ 2.7.
The F150 is a nicer vehicle but is 18k more sticker. 55k v 37k
I have also had a few XL F150s. They are much more practical.
IMO the Bronco does not make a better primary vehicle than a F150
The Bronco is a more fun vehicle...
