Back in 2014 or 2015 I rented the new 2.3L Mustang as I was thinking of buying a 5.0 and wanted to try the size of the car out for a week.
After one week i would of bought the 2.3L as it got 31 mpg and felt much more powerful then my buddies older 90's Mustand 5.0L.
I ended up getting a Chevy...
Thanks for posting pics showing the diff. Hopefully Ford will do something similar with all the features so we can get most info off the web in this new COVID environmnet.
OMG this sounds awesome. On my Jeep it was the parts that killed your budget it was the labor charges. As a software engineer that works 12-15 hours a day I don't have time to install myself, so this is huge $$$ saver.
Now I just need to get more weekends off to use it.
Glove box latch had to be replace kinda weak design. Rear cup holder the leather pulled out from people putting it up and down. (fits too tight I guess)
I heard they beefed up the frame in 2017 because some Russian guy decided to take one off a 92' jump and bent the frame. I think video is still up on Youtube?
Back on 7/13 there both a Body color hard top and a dual trop option with body color top and softop. Now the first has been removed from the spec page.
Ford please offer only the body color top for those that have no need for a softtop. My last Jeep at dual tops and it just wasted storage space.
The fender flares are pushed out, door etc are still same width/spot as a regular F-150. But the big thing is the frame is massively beefed up, which is why you can't build a Raptor from a F-150.
Most people when they life a truck just add wheel spacing for the tires to clear. Some don't I've seen plenty that hit frame on hard turns. But when they add wheel spacing the tires are sticking out past the body and are illegal in most states (def in CA).
The Raptor adds 3" to both sides to...
We normally have 3 in car so at least 1 rear seat will be in use most times. If need to get something that requires all seats down then have to leave the mother-in-law at home.
Or could just use the truck.
