Just did the install today, Note to people, the wiring harness superseeds to a new number.
Overall maybe 3-4/10 for difficulty. Took me about 2.5 hours going pretty slow and methodical. Pretty easy, but daunting when you look at all the things that need to be removed and put back in.
put into...
Have you had any luck with this? Im having a very simular issue. Vibration is very minor but can be felt in the drive side floorboards and steering wheel. It doesnt happen all the time, and is about 2 seconds off 2 seconds on which continues, felt over about 45-55mph. When it's not happening...
Thank you so for the replies
So really there doesn't seem to be any options at the moment other than using Ford performance 4.7s, as there isn't any info or stock on the Dana advanceteks that I can find. Going the 4.7 route also seems like their is issues with the front disconnect as well...
The only way I'd have lockers is if I swapped for bigger axels w/ a different gear ratio, I'm not sure they even make lockers for the m190 but that would not be something I'd do regardless
I have a big bend, non SAS. Found that I may want to do more wheeling than I thought. For the thread purposes, I DO NOT want to get a new SAS bronco.
Does anyone have a definitive parts list for doing a swap? I know I'll need to be replacing both axels. I think I'd go with 4.7 gearing. From...
Just completed it, as well as fun run and snake, today.
For someone who has truly never wheeled these types of trails before. My knuckles are very very white.
Did it in a big bed with SAS suspension, 34s and some under armor. No lockers needed necessarily, did need to give er a little bump...
Figure I'd update this for anyone in the future
ASFIR's steel bumper skid works just fine with the stubby, however there is a 1.5" gap
It ALSO DOES fit with the factory tow loops still on, its a very snug fit, but it fits.
Figured I'd post here as well as my other post- ASFIR skid plate.
DOES fit just fine with the stubby, however there IS a 1.5" gap
Sidenote- it DOES fit with the factory plastic bumper tow loops as well, it's a very snug fit, but does work
I'm going to throw this out there, I put 285/75/17s on my big bend. Zero rub on the crash bars, not even close, no rub on the UCA, kinda close, would probably rub with wider tires.
I DO rub on the right side sway bar when full turn right, maybe the last 1/16 of the steering. I'm not the only...
See attached for how it looks, ASFIR skid coming next week. Fogs and winch one I get some $$$
I would also note, I got zero increase in rake going from the stock plastic to this, both at the fender and front pinch welds. Big bend 4dr, 34's w/ SAS suspension from 4dr w/ tow package
So I wanted to update this for people with the Plastic Bumper.
Removing bumper is easy, remove 6x bolts for bumper. Undo 1x RS fog connecter and bumper will come off.
Bumper WILL work with factory Tow hooks. bumper WILL work with factory plastic bash plate. The factory bash will fit OVER the...
So looks like the stubby is compatible with only the OEM Steel skid. The ASFIR skid has 2 options for the OEM bumper- Steal and plastic.
With that said I'd assume If I got the ASFIRskid meant for the Steal bumper, it wouldfit the Stubby.
Great- Now the only thing is would the "steal" ASFIR...
Question, with the fab fours skid, does it cover underneath as well? The pictures on their site look like it just covers the front angle, and doesn't wrap under at all
