Haha, okay, that makes sense. Since I'm sticking with the manual trans, I'm stuck with the dinky 33s . I'm expecting to choose the BFG K02s. But, I'll consider the Goodyears at the same size. Unless I'm mistaken they are a new tire that is not currently available. At least I've not...
This is what I'm worried about. It's nice to prevent those rock chips on the front, but I just haven't heard enough about these wraps' durability to know how they're going to hold up to this kind of abuse. It's pretty expensive to keep redoing panels.

Way too often overlooked when shopping for up-sized tires, IMHO. Especially when looking at "large for the vehicle size" tire, which most here are.
Based on what? I haven't seen enough detail released yet for me to make this call.
I'm also considering this. But I'm not sure how long it'll last, honestly. On a car, a long time... but a truck in the wilds, I'm afraid it's going to get chewed up pretty quick. Still debating it.
Looking at the complexity and size of the surfaces on the 2-door Bronco, I'm hoping it's...
I think it's a matter of personal taste. I've been quite surprised by the number of discussions here about high-speed road manners, comfort, cabin noise, etc. Has the broad tent dragged in too many people that are going to be disappointed?
At the end of the day this is a truck. It is not a...
Even if I did opt for the 4 piece, "modular", painted top, I'm guessing that I would frequently want to remove all four pieces, not just open that little "donut hole".
At this point, I'm planning to stick with the gray molded plastic 3 piece top. Though I wish it was more black than gray. I'm...
This isn't totally related, but I will be happy if it turns out that these two rack notches are at or near the center of gravity of the rear section. It could make for it really easy to hack together a $5 make-shift hoist rig in the garage.
It would be nice to have an easy "game time" decision...
I don't know a whole lot about the nature of that specific issue, but my guess is that it was engineering/design related and not assembly/manufacturing related. No point beyond this. :)
Agreed. It's still going to be a loud cabin compared to a typical road car, no matter what. The roof will get heavier with the padding. I know it won't be terrible, given the number of pieces it breaks into, but still, more weight just makes it more cumbersome and more likely to get dropped...
I don't get it. Many people probably feel similarly about their pet options. If they want to pay for it, then everybody should be forced to get it. If I'm driving always with the roof off. You want me to pay for sound dampening material to sit in my garage?
Sorry, just not a big fan of...
Reading this thread conjures memories of a buddy's TJ soft top with mud tires. I would lose my voice on long road trips. None of the rest of the gang would even ride with him.
No matter what, the Bronco will be no worse than that.
Thanks for the correction. Can you cite any links that detail these two different 2-door roof options. I'm having difficulty fully comprehending based on your description. It sounds like you're saying that the modular hard top isn't fully removable, but may be more like the T-tops of the 80s...
Compared against what?
EDIT: I think I get it. I believe that there is only one 2-door hard top available. It's always modular and always removable. The only difference is the color. I think they just have used poorly inconsistent wording in their materials. All just my opinion.
