I think you may onto something. Perhaps the 1.5 ecoboost for its lighter weight and size profile? I do not know much about the 1.5 other than I believe it has around 150hp, which would be enough to turn the gem into a staunch canyon runner. Just saying.
Gladiator bent frame? The Canyon and Colorado have the same stories / problems bent frames, etc.. That is why I am into "built Ford tough". For the record, I am a multi Chevy and Jeep owner.
It is all good brother. We all have opinions and I did not and will not take anything personal. My posts are based on experience. Also, I learn something everyday.
Oh by the way, your Bronco in your avatar is the color I want.
You are probably right. Back in the day the 510 (preferably the 72) set up with suspension, side draft Webers and 13" or 14" wheels was the ticket to take on the 76 BMW 2002 Tii.
Never, never, never to puck / spacer lifts. If you lift 2" or below do the spring - shock lift. However, if you want to do it right it requires upper and lower control arms, extended brake lines, springs/coilover shocks, extended axles, and some other bits. What you save in money will cost you...
Why is Ford sending a vehicle out to the showrooms to highlight its quality. I saw another picture of the Bronco Sport bottle opener already scratched up. This is concerning. Details matter. What if there was a scratched or damaged engine part? Get my point.
