FWIW:
I spoke to my dealer yesterday about my order. But before I go into what he told me, I noted that the "Manage" page, i.e., back door, says I have a build of 12/6 and the tracker has a build of 12/15. My window sticker has a blend of 12/11 and my modules "popped" around the 12/17.
I was...

Also, mods just popped on my 12/11 blend.
Anyone know a rough estimate of when Ford sends out assembly line photo in relation to build or blend date. My build week was last week with a blend of 12/11.
From my window sticker, it looks like my blend date is December 11th in line at 640 of 875. That might be the ass end of things. I am thinking that I may be one of very few 2dr Wildtrak's built under MY2021.
From the legal side of things, don't rule out a claim for unjust enrichment and there would be a solid basis for a preliminary injunction to halt any sales of the unit.
I did some looking around and couldn't find anything on this, but was curious if there was a breakdown of the number of each model built in 2021, i.e., no. of Badlands, Base, WildTrak, etc.
With MY22 kicking into production soon, I was wondering if anyone knew if there are any real distinctions (other than paint options) between MY21 and MY22, i.e., will there be a way to tell them apart. I am assuming no.
I would take anything on Ford's site with a large grain of salt. Mine shows that I have an Outer Banks reserved and need to order with my dealer. But this past week I got notice from Ford by email that my actual build, a Wildtrak, is set for production in late November.
Not really seeing a “solution” here. And if FMC is going to punt most orders to 2021, some kind of timeline would’ve been nice or at least an indication of how we will be kept updated.
For all the talk about giving FMC a break due to the pandemic, it seems like they just had a garbage design...
I had a good talk with my dealership on Saturday, which was the one that allegedly had a bunch of orders up for the public. First, the listings are auto-populating, even for the mannequins. Also, some dealerships, mine included, had orders cancel. When that happened they contacted existing...
I was contacted yesterday by my dealer asking me if I would like to change up my order to a different trim and to a soft top. After bringing up that the 2dr does not have a soft-top option, we discussed that it was unclear if I was pushed to a MY22 as of yet.
With 36 pages of replies I apologize in advance for repeating anything. I reread the email a few times and it sounds like the MIC hard top issue has not gotten better or worse. Instead, it sounds like they may be trying to do what they can with MIC and to that end are pushing back the other...
