Feels like we are riding on a unicorn. I have every constraint you can come up with, but still had her by first of Oct 21. Got so lucky, and am so happy I waited for what I truly wanted.
Getting it off with trim pry tools and back on with 3M automotive adhesive was easy enough. Getting it apart without breaking stuff was more difficult, though I imagine it is only because I didnāt have the proper tools. Eventually I was able to break all the plastic welds holding the logo...
Wiring it up was simple enough, I even used thin black plastic conduit that ran perfectly within a channel on the backside of the grill to hide all my wires seamlessly. I tied it to my Aux 2 switch and love using it as an āoh shitā or āwhat a doucheā moment at stop lights and stop signs
Very simple, PlastiDip, dental floss, acetone wipes, and 3M Automotive adhesive tape.
I used the floss to wiggle behind the emblem and remove existing adhesive. The bronco came off in less than a minute. Then stripped the rest of the existing adhesive from the emblem and the tailgate using the...
Iām so sorry, maybe I misunderstood or interpreted incorrectly, what you were asking? I love this Heritage grill, but Iām sticking with the traditional BRONCO, only backlit with the Oracle lights. Just finished this project with my dad. I do like your idea, if iām understanding correctly, with...
Really hope this helps. I also color matched the letters to my rig. The letters ship in white, but I believe they are also working on black lettering, as well as amber light versions.
I used adhesive, but this still looks like a much more solid implementation that will last for years. Well worth the work I imagine because god damn that looks great!
Look very cool, but after I spent so much time wiring up my oracle lights Bronco logo to my current grill, something like this will have to wait! Hopefully somebody with a rig has one installed?!
I get it. If your hands are tied, well, your hands are tied. Sounds like the only thing you are anxious for is wheeling, and unless you got a daily beater about to breakdown Iād still hold off. My 2012 Nissan Juke almost didnāt make it to the Nissan dealership to be sold after the year plus of...
If you skip out on the 2DR Iāll hunt you down and look you square in the eyes while shaking my head slowly side to side . Just wait, do not compromise, and you will be much happier. I have a 2DR Black Diamond with all the fixings, and my god it is absolutely amazing! Wait. wait. WaIt. WAIT. #wait
Thanks for the pictures @CKXVII and @Papa Smurf. I am happy with my plasti-dip job. While the bones are a unique take, and I totally dig anyone who wants to go this route, it just isnāt for me.
Seems to be similar, if not exactly the same, adhesive all manufacturers use to adhere their emblems. If they end up coming off during typical usage I bet the wiring holds them in place long enough for me to find an alternative method. I think the supplied product will hold though.
Shit with you raised sleeper floor, and the deck you could eat dinner sitting up at any national park, and itāll look like it came from ford that way! Very cool addition man.
