True: it does fill in the blank.
Personally, I just find it a bad habit, and prefer to fill out all the required information.
More of a check on myself if you will.
Again look at the bit value
If you look at the spreadsheet you attached, you can see.
None of those features are enabled at 00
01. Trailer guidance 2 is enabled
02 power box enabled and trailer guidance is not
That gives me 2 bits of value out of 8.
If you convert the hex decimal value to a...
You don't need to try every combination, you only need to find differences between certain values.
Those hex values are related to the equivalent of a four-digit binary number.
When you see differences, typically that is a single bit difference.
From there, you use the basis of comparison to...
It's great that they're offering extended coverage, kind of sucks if you bought the extended warranty specifically because of this issue like some *cough* cough* me.
I'm always grateful to get something for free, after I paid for it
The trailer light check is not something that is supported by fdrs by default.
It can be turned on using Forscan. It does not always work for all vehicles.
It is not that the technician didn't enable, it is not enabled by Ford on the bronco.
-Did you write all to the TRM MODULE.
-Then turn off the ignition.
-Lock the doors, so the screen and everything turns off.
- Wait like 15 seconds after everything is off.
- Then in forscan and stop programming the module.
- I'll reboot the module at that point, the trm module.
The big point...
That is essentially your trailer hitch connection, that goes on the 4/7 pin receptacle.
I assumed by your posted picture you have a 2024+ model. As these have the wiring run, it looks exactly what you have.
If you look at the original Post in here, you will see a picture of me holding that that...
It was a small task. Not a huge ordeal/problem.
I used the supplied molex connector, But I repined it for larger gauge wire. (Bought different Molex terminals)
I ran (2)#8's for power and 16's for control (via aux switch)
Used a circuit Beaker versus supplied fuses.
I also got their air filter...
It work ok...,
The "Go" is a little slow to restart.
and the Stop can be a little nerve racking depending on your set distance to say the least.
That being said.. it is worthy mod.
FYI: changing the ABS setting with this one mod never seems to be recorded by the Ford servers. So if you update...
So the new cable is connecting, pulling a serial number.
Ensure that you're in the correct compatibility mode, and try different USB ports.
Or a different computer...?
Something slightly older.
I know you've tried six cables.
Just quadruple check air cable to ensure it's a USB cable that has power and data.
Your typical / common USB charger cable is only going to have the wires for power.
If the units lighting up but not connecting, that would be my first guess.
Understood, just saying that's the next step.
If it's present there ( at fuse ) I would check pin 12 at the tow module (brown wire)
After that it would be checking it at connector 201 in the front driver side wheel well.
If you have the module install, forscan should be able to see / detect it.
You may need to use a new profile so to detects it, as your profile you used before did not have it, so it's not looking for it.
If forscan still cannot find it, you have a wiring issue, or a power issue AKA blown fuse...
Just asking because for whatever reason it does seem to make a difference.
Even though the values are exactly the same, did you write the entire module/ writeall.?
As I indicate another post, I would suggest ensuring you write the entire module, not individual changes that may need to be made. Write All.
Then attempt to reset/reboot the trm module, there's a service in that for forscan.
And then ensuring you clear the error.
Anytime in forscan where it...
