I'm confident you aren't going to screw your dealer over. If you do get a warranty, verify what they're selling you is what it is. Lots of places have an in-house plant that has tons of conditions, try to pass off plans that aren't Ford Protect and/or try to tag on a bunch of additional...
Is the wiper, washer jet, hinge covers and wiring all there? Tinted glass? Where in KY are you? We have routes running to Louisville, Henderson, Owensboro, Bowling Green, Madisonville and can deliver parts if needed. Side glass will need to be urethaned in but the new glass has the alignment...
I don't have the time or energy but some supplier should come up with an aluminum reinforcement/replacement for this joint that overlays on top. Ford eats enough of these it might force them to sell them individually.
I would ask the dealer what specific reason are they denying the claim. Ford does not make this determination unless it's a very odd case with a denial and a FSE involved. Dealer is probably worried about getting charged back since this falls in the "grey area" . Most of the time "broken" is...
I would lean to being covered as long as nothing is bent and no visible damage. That elbow is complete junk cast aluminum. When you do replace, since you've swapped tops, make damn certain there isn't any tension on it when latching.
The rear bow is available by itself, don't need to replace the whole frame. M2DZ-7851501-C has a list price of $1,710.42. Looking in DOW, there aren't any available and no remarks in the system. as to what the issue is. Usually they will say supplier issue or have an off-backorder tentative...

IMO, if the reservoir is still hanging on and there are no signs of impact, it should be covered under base warranty. We had a '21 Escape in yesterday with both rear shocks leaking and was covered. Surely to shit you can send them some pics and at least get the thing ordered so it's sub 2 hour...

Adjustment

The plant has a tool to do this adjustment, kinda similar to this one but on a 4 foot bar. That said, adjusting these is not very difficult and sounds like dealer just doesn't want to mess with it.
Here's my .02. Take all of the hard top panels off and remove the locating pins on the cap. Reinstall the cap with 2 hold down screws loose. Move cap forward slightly, snug the two screws and notice if there's any difference in pressure on the rear seal. Continue this until there's some...
