Not me, I don't go crazy with scale stuff but I do want my Broncos looking correct or more accurate.
I've got over 150 RCs, of all types including helicopters.
I watched that vid just now. So this is really more like a oversize 10th scale since it has 2.2 wheels and tires. Those are common on 10th scale rock bouncers. I'm still intrigued but the fact they don't include a 5th wheel and tire is laughable.
Not to mention not a licensed product but...
Do you have one? I'm curious about the true size.
Traxxas 10th scale is notoriously oversized. Axial is worse. My 60s Axial Bronco 2 door is wider and same length as the TRX 4 door lol.
No, but I have a Chinese 18th. I told one of my buddies that I'm screwed if someone makes a Bronco body for the SCX6. 😆
Traxxas did a decent job on Area 51 although I think its a shade dark. 4M Area51 looks almost identical to my custom paint mix so it works for me. I was disappointed by...
My first was a Blackfoot and I still have it, still runs and has all the option parts I could afford back then including Thorp diff & drive bones. I converted it to brushless (2S) 10 years ago. It's hilarious.
I have the Traxxas TRX-4M Area 51. It looks dark in the package, haven't opened it...
Traxxas is offering an Area 51 body option for the TRX-4M. (4 Door of course). I have (2) TRX-4 2021 Broncos and (2) TRX-4M Broncos. Working on a 3rd 4M. I also have the Tamiya 1/10 2 door that I custom mixed to make Area 51. So you could build your RC from scratch if you get yourself the...
Beautiful Bronco. Sent a link of this thread to my wife. She's looking at this color as well but on the fence with not being able to see it in person anywhere. I see the similarity to Area 51 but it doesn't seem as close as others think.
Looking forward to your sunshine pics. But this time...
Since picking up my 22 OBX the MAP sticker has been a little nag every time I look at it. I get it, these things can be a pain. Add that it's clear and that ups the degree of difficulty for install. Mine has fingerprints, bubbles, and is crooked.
Found this thread one day and read through...
It's definitely the headliner. You can place your head closer to the seats and it still has that new car smell. Raise up and it gets stronger as you get closer. The fresh neoprene smell or something, but it's not pleasant. Fingers crossed it goes away.
Got my order on Black Friday, installed on Saturday. We road tested almost immediately and the road noise is now only a few decibels louder than my Edge ST. Tested at 75 mph on the interstate and it was much nicer.
My only concern with the headliner is how long will it take to stop smelling...
