So your positive the 6 rear bolts are long enough to go up to 1" of lift? By that adage the 192mm bolts from the Ranger should work with a 3" body lift?
Stock bolts 134mm (-1" for spacer or 25.4mm) leaves 108.6mm of "unused" bolt including engaged thread.
Ranger bolts 192mm (-3" for spacer or...
At least a couple people have done it here, problem is there a little lite on the details of what they actually did. Sounds like they ordered M14 bolts much longer then needed then cut the threaded part off and then ran a die over the remaining shank, which I agree would be tough on a hardened...
Ya the only place I can find them is ford body bolts (none of which are long enough) and obscure head bolts for some odd ball European stuff. Although these bolts seem impossible to source a tap and die are relatively easy to find (M13X1.75), not sure how that can be but it is what it is.
I have aftermarket tube steps on mine that don’t go nearly that far forward as the sliders.
you couldn’t tell me how much poke you had with 0 or better yet a picture?
I’m going to cut the front bracket off as close as I can to the body mount. There’s a vid of this set up on YouTube but the vendors a little light on details unfortunately.
The wheels I want for my project just went on sale and I’m wondering if 0 or -12 (17x9 wheel) would be best to run a 40x13.50R17 Nitto Trail Grappler. My setup is 3” Icon lift w/ 3” body lift on a Wildtrak.
Sounds like few people have made their own M13 bolts from M14 bolts to work with a body lift. Has anyone done that here? Did you turn down the bolts that 1mm prior to running a die over it or could you force an M13 die over the M14 shank since the difference is only 1mm?
I’m surprised Ford uses...
I just purchased this kit but didn’t realize the preload spacers aren’t used in the rear for the Sasquatch. Will the preload spacers fit on the rear Sasquatch coil overs if you didn’t want a level stance?
Ya that’s the video where I got the idea that it maybe could work. I have no problem cutting off the crash bar mounts. Any suspension lift that big you have to chop out a cross member which is what I’d like to avoid.
that pic is with both the icon and body lift installed? Geeze I’m thinking 40s...
I’m hoping to stuff 40s under my wildtrak. I’ve already ordered the 3” Icon spacer lift and I’m hoping to source parts for my own 3” body lift. I see there’s a YouTube video from a vendor that shows his 3” body/3” spacer lift on a 2 dr Sasquatch bronco with 40s but that’s all I could find. Has...
Ok hear me out. Others have said that a 3/4 inch body lift the factory bolts are fine (refer to this thread https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/thoughts-on-body-lifts-with-the-broncos-ifs.40870/page-7)
So these 192mm bolts are 18mm (0.70inches) too short for a full 3” body lift, but since...
