Just got my Bronco back after one week at the dealer for the repair. Crawled under and discovered a few undone hose clips and perhaps an unbolted fuel line bracket?
Does this look right?
I wonder how some dealers are getting out of doing the TSB with this “cost cap” and doing a trans swap. I’m not too confident the replacement transmissions have the latest syncros.
Dropped the Bronco off at the dealer this morning and mentioned the TSB and had a video for the advisor. Got a call this afternoon; parts have been ordered and I was able to pick it up.
I peeled one off and confirmed they are nothing more than clear stickers with undercoat and paint sprayed over.
I ordered some white rubberized waterproof tape that should hold just as well or better. Not ideal, but neither is Ford’s method.
I saw I had two rocker panel patches missing which exposes primer and holes in the rocker. One other looks like it’s barely hanging on.
These just look like stickers with undercoating and paint over top.
Not sure if this was from car washes, road spray, or crazy temperature swings over the...
Loose lug nuts is my guess. I don’t have much faith in the PDI. When I got my Bronco, it had tire pressure at 45 psi and they didn’t wipe the grease pen off the wheels.
I believe originally the part number ended in -A, hopefully the -AA means updated.

This is pretty much what I’m planning on doing. At 8k I’ve changed it twice already but need to take it in for a couple warranty issues and get another oil change before 10k.
Should be M2DZ-17E811-DA (left) and M2DZ-17E810-DA (right).
FWIW I didn’t want to spend $100+ and just used a hole saw and deburring tool. The blank panels will be a dime a dozen eventually.
