I did this in my rental big bend before I bought my heritage. In my heritage, it didn't seem as bad as before, but with my new purple seat cushion (2" height), the head rest doesn't feel that bad. It must be the added height that makes the head rest more comfortable.

My brand new Bronco had 70-ish miles, too. They didn't say why. Mine is also "almost" flawless, except for a rattling noise under the vehicle when driving over stone roads in Mexico.
I used the Purple Ultimate Seat Cushion. It's 22"x18"x2". It fits the Bronco seat pretty darn good. I turned the part where the spine should be to the front, and it's so comfortable. Just ride higher than usual, but that's a good tradeoff for me.

I also like the REB color, but the wife said grey azure. The white top, white wheels and trim. Fog lamps. Cloth seats. Switches for accessories (bye, bye sunglasses holder). Love this car.
