This may sound crazy, but Iām hoping that this oddball comment in a video revealing a manual Sasquatch package means that Ford will make either a OBX- or mini Wildtrak trim that will allow for getting a manual with higher trims that allow for a high/lux package. Mostly I want this so I can get...
When I look at the Big Bend trim on Fordās website & look under āExteriorā I see an optional tube step:
I donāt see it anywhere else but hopefully theyāll offer it as my family will need it, too.
Also family of 4 here. Kids are 9 & 12. Theyāre excited to ride in it & go car camping with it. They are kind of tired of hearing about it from me already, tho. ? I ran thru a few (cough) color combinations with my daughter, now she rolls her eyes when she hears āBroncoā ? Pffft. Kids these...
Letās see if I can get this correct. From left to right:
Absolute Black, Carbonized Grey, Iconic Silver, Rapid Red, Oxford White, Antimatter Blue, Cactus Grey, Velocity Blue, Area 51, Race Red, Cyber Orange.
Howād I do?
Most important thing to keep in mind is that we are in hyper information mode while Ford is simply following through on their planned release of infos. So we are constantly front-running their planned drip-drip of info.
Remember how there were instantly a ton of YouTube videos released when...
Oh, I get the physics of it: i=mr^2 and all so the farther away from the center the mass is the effect is exponential. Iāve just never seen a display like that where you can see a few #s of tire mass have such an effect on a 2-3 ton vehicle. Itās kind of mind-blowing.
Pretty amazing that 35ā tires needed 50% farther to stop than 33ā tires with no other changes to the vehicle. That gives me something to think about with the Sasquatch pkg. Thanks for sharing.
Honestly itās easier to drive a truck with low gears than something like an 80ās Honda Civic which you need to rev like crazy to get moving. With the gobs of torque the 2.3L puts out at low revs we probably wonāt need to be in exactly the right gear for the situation. Maybe weāll be able to be...
Iām hoping the frame will be stiff enough that when you raise the rear wheel the front wheel comes with it. Had a bunch of German cars like that & made life simpler.
I h8te talking to dealers & have avoided them most of my life. So if anyone is able to find a good deal with a straight-talking dealer Iāll join in. I have x-plan but Iām nervous about ordering a desireable vehicle the dealer doesnāt have in stock & having them play games at time of delivery...
If this manual is anything like the manual in my last Escape then itāll prefer shifting without any feathering at all. It wasnāt like a manual car where if you wanted a fast start youād have to rev & drop. As a truck like trans it liked to be dropped into 1st gear at low rpms and then youād...
This I wholeheartedly agree with. As a new trans, wherever itās assembled, could have issues. Thatās just standard new car risk - which Iāve never had and does give me the heebie jeebies.
As far as one country doing better than another at assembling things, I do remember the days of hearing how...
I hear you on not being too eager to be seen struggling to get a dozen long boards on top of a rack. But .. in the accessories reveal video where they showed the pull out table in the back of the 4DR they said that they explicitly designed it to handle standing on it to access the roof rack...
