So I am reaching out to the group to help me troubleshoot.
I installed a 3” 4WP lift, RPG upper control arms and rear adjustable track bar.
For wheels i have 37x12.5 BFG KO2s wrapped around method 8.5x17 with zero offset.
Ride is great on road, haven’t been off-road yet.
So here is the...
Man your story took me back to the ONE time I was in a zero traction situation. Interesting enough I was in my '92 Bronco (Eddie Bauer of course).
I like you shifted into 4 low and proceeded to go down the hill. I was feeling great as the Bronco OWNED the hill.... Then traction broke free...
Here is a base BD with stock suspension and 33's . wheels are 0 offset. No rub normal driving conditions. Have not checked full articulation. You may need spacers if you go to 33 x 12.5 on the steelies
here is a stock Black diamond with nitto ridge grapplers 305/70/17.
Methods are 8.5 - 0 offset. Crash bars removed no rub. with the additional 0.65" clearance the Badlands has you should be fine. NOTE I have not checked it at full compression
UPDATE - I ordered the correct lugs from Method and they work fine. 7-8 turns which should be plenty of thread contact. The Method lugs are smaller in diameter than the OEM from Ford.
Lugs are 12x1.5 Part number LK-W56015SB

Here is the catch 4A...
I dislike being negative this early in the year (new years resolution), but it is not likely the first round of tops will be in the $3-4K range. The JEEP has had aftermarket hard tops for 30+ years where R&D costs have been recouped many years ago. Also look at all the different suppliers...
So I went with the steelies to complete the retro look, but really want something with more offset and eventually would like to run 35x 12.5. I test fit some Methods 17x8.5 0 offset that I already had and the wheel studs barely stuck through. I was able to get 7.5 turns which i have read is...
