They are developing an enclosure (I believe for a 10") that will go where the factory B&O sub is located. I am similarly looking to keep the tailgate clean, but I'm not sure it would leave room for any amps or processors in that space.
Depending on the final list of equipment, 5K doesn't seem unreasonable for a skilled shop.
Have they mentioned if/to what degree they will be using sound deadening?
Are you using the passive crossovers that came with the three-ways or fully active?
@Murph914 the Helix in his equipment list is a 12ch DSP amp. I'm guessing that's powering everything except the sub.
Thank you for taking the time to document everything so clearly. I'm adding this to my growing list of audio install bookmarks as I explore the path for my own build.
After seeing so many Squatch pictures on here, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the 33s. But in person, they don't seem undersized one bit. I think I'll be keeping the stock shoes for a while.
Very stoked to finally be a member of this club.
Dealer texted me last night (6 hours from where I live). I had contacted them on their website over the weekend to see if it was actually in stock and not claimed already (as several attempts at other dealers had unfolded).

I've got a deposit on a dealer stock BL. The order "stuck" with Ford in December and the dealer gave me a build date and VIN almost right away.
Build week of 2/13 (now bumped to 2/20).
On the Ford order site I can see the build details (except the build date doesn't show there). You'll need...
Yes, they are. They were very surprised they could get me 90% of what I was looking for. Currently scheduled for 2/13/23 build week.
I've read enough on here to not be holding my breath though.
Seems like a very low risk proposition for you to engage with the dealer at this time if they won't take a deposit.
I'm in a similar position with my local dealer, but have more confidence that they won't pull the rig out when it gets here.
It's a small town (10k), and they let me put down a...
Yeah, that was the one caveat from my dealer about pricing. They won't charge anything more than MSRP, but the MSRP at delivery could be higher than it is today.
Customer orders are not available, but dealers are given some amount of stock orders for lot inventory. Some friendly dealers will use a stock order for a customer that would have been ordering a "retail" or custom order.
Badlands trim carries enough of the Sas capabilities for my purposes... lockers, sway bar disconnects, etc. And the manual provides the 2.7 gearing.
I was originally planning to order sas, but my reading on this forum lead me to change my mind.
I am in a very similar boat, but with a non SAS Badlands.
I walked into my local dealer on October 28th to order a 2023 BL. Predictably they said I couldn't order one retail, but they said they'd try to spec out a dealer stock order for me if they could.
On 12/13, they called and said they can...
