With your wheels at full lock and your suspension at droop make a sharpie mark where the contact is, then raise the suspension (LCA) and rotate the RPG tie rod 180 degrees and use a grinder, and your done in less than 5 mins. Plenty of meat on those Tie Rods way stronger than stock even with a...
If you already have the RPG tie rods why would not use them? So much better than stock and as long as you have beefed up your steering rack, should be a trouble-free setup.
Well I contacted RPG and let them the predictament I found myself in with front coilover contact with their full tie rod kit. They said I could easily shave off some of the tierod body due to it's overkill design. So with about 5mins of grinding my RPG tierods no longer make contact at full...
Awesome, love the BRaptor but the FE is unreplaceable. The BRaptor will continue to evolve and improve as it competes with Jeeps 392 for pure performance enthusiasts. May even see a BRaptor R in the future!
Would you kindly provide the part number for those Raptor hinges and any other item I would need to satisfy the OCD enthusiast such as yourself? I am the same OCD and BAMF's response to your observations and failure to commit to improving their good-looking setup just about has me looking...
It was stated in this thread that it was because I was a 1st edition reservation holder. I thought it was because of all the delays and hardtop issues. Honestly there is not much that I could find that was worth settling for subpar quality parts and I prefer the aftermarket selections for better...
Don't forget that reservation holders for the 2021 Bronco got around 220,000 ford pass points which I used to buy new tires for my Camry $1100 and a ARB 47qt Zero Fridge at $900 (not on Bronco online catalog but on the F150's online catalog/page.
Other than that I have about $12k on aftermarket...
Thanks for the pictures its very much appreciated. So ICON did move the Stabilizer bar back a bit to get that extra clearance? It's a bit hard to tell but I do believe I see that they did.
I really like the ADD Pro as well but need a swing out tire carrier fabricated into it. I will not run a 37" tire on the tail gate. I was thinking of the Reaper tire carrier (which allows for a 40" tire) and fabricating on the ADD Pro.
I had called up tech support on two separate occasions and was strongly encouraged to add those bump stop spaces to limit up travel on 37"+ tires. They said their R&D team had determined that it was absolutely needed. I am guessing it would be for fast desert speed or sand dune environments...
Here is a video that might help with the CV Install (go to the 15min mark). Basically, though you make sure that the seal on the transfer case is in good order no damage to the structural integrity upon when the CV axle popped out. Then make sure there is enough room as possible so you can...
Here are two pics of the disco sway bar and should clearance be a problem with my swaybar and it doesn't look like it would be. I know that I would choose to keep my Stage 8 ICONs and fabricate an extension to the sway bar brackets to slightly slide back about 3/4". It looks like it would...
Damn, looks like a relocation bracket for the swaybar is in order and custom tie rods with a curvature at that point in suspension travel and wheel position. Still holding on to getting all these clearance issues addressed.
I haven't got to the rear yet and I have RSE steps. Getting these ICONs to work is going becoming a pain in the ass. I'll find a way I'm sure of it. If anyone can tell me what they did to clear the RSE steps that would be awesome!
My hoses doesn't touch either and there is plenty of gap, however because these coilovers have so much travel, way more than stock getting to full droop is where I have problems clearing. I still need to do an alignment so I am not sure if that will be resolved on its own.
For me the removal of the coil overs I preferred removing the lower control arms (Crazy since I never had to do it that way before, but better than forcing down SAS CO and the lower control arm). So although all might look workable for me right now, I am not sure what it will look like after...
I just went out and checked my aftermarket RPG tie rods for clearance issues at full turn. Not bad at all, I only run into hitting when the suspension cycles down quite a ways other than that it clears the rest of the time. I'm thinking of shaving some metal off those beefy RPGs and retain my...
