I just finished an install from a base system, including replacing all speakers with Focal (components in kick, dash, coaxial rear), a 10" sub, amps for six channels plus the sub, and an AudioControl DQ-61. The issue I've run into is I believe the signal for the sub channel on the DQ-61 is...
Looks great! Lots of great ideas. Thanks for posting and for the mention. Happy to hear I'm inspiring others to make their own platforms and hopefully my build was helpful to you in some way.
I think Rigid also makes some amber backlit pod lights in their more budget series. I don't personally have any experience with this series of Rigid lights, but in general you can't go wrong with Rigid lights (at least the standard series ones.)
It might be helpful if folks read up on speaker frequency response curves. Making blanket statements that x size speaker can't produce x frequency is an oversimplification. The reality is that even very small speakers (think high quality in ear monitors and headphones) can produce frequencies...
May be helpful and save some folks some time-
I mapped out the fuse box under the drivers side dash when I was installing my Garmin Tandem dash cam utilizing Garmins parking mode wiring kit. It requires one constant 12v and one accessory 12v (on when accessory power is on). The only accessory...
You have this backwards. Should be right dash positive is violet/gray and left dash positive is green/blue. This is how the diagram shows it and here's a photo of the left hand connector... There's no violet/gray, only green/blue.
I can empathize for sure. It took me a good two months to finally decide on Cactus Gray. I drove through the dealer to look at a Ranger in CG about 25 times trying to make up my mind. It's truly a chameleon color and changes depending on lighting conditions, even different in morning sun vs...
I actually did install the Fabtech 1.5in lift to account for the slightly lower front ride height due to the weight. When someone comes about with a reasonably priced set of springs I plan on going that route.
Here's a couple photos to give you an idea of the size...
Adding a pistol to the outside may cause it to contact your calf depending on how you sit (and the size of the pistol.)
Also, one could add a MOLLE pouch to the inside to potentially use as a more secure cup holder.
The only time I notice it is if I bend my knee and bring my calf back until it touches the seat while leaning my knee against the door. I can feel it then but it's not bad. Sometimes I sit like this just to change positions on long drives but maybe I'm "special" lol.
Photo included shows the...
This is brilliant. I was thinking of a way to divide the space up and came across your post. Nice job!
Also, just to give others an idea of the size/depth of the pocket here's a couple photos with a soda can and a YETI inside. The YETI is stable enough I can leave it there full of coffee and...
I've been trying to something similar and actually originally ordered those same exact lights off Amazon, but I have the Big Bend grill so they didn't work out. Awesome though that this works out so well the other grill style! Thanks for posting!
Thanks! Here's the post-

Also, check this post out- it shows a SAS with this kit installed but he doesn't have the weight of the bumper and winch like I do so you'll get a better idea of what results you can expect (assuming you...
I'm sure there are a lot of different ways you could solve this problem. I actually tried electrical tape and while it does work to eliminate the noise, after taking the panels off and on several times the tape starts to get nicked when dropping the pin down into the metal bracket and likely...
I installed the 1.5"(got closer to 2" of lift) Fab-tech kit on my SAS and I'm very happy with the results, but I had also lost about 1/4"+ of height in the front due the weight of a warn bumper and winch install. If you want it to be level and not higher in the front, I think a 1" would be what...
I installed one on my SAS Big Bend last week. After I lost about 1/4 of height due to the extra weight of my Warn bumper and winch, the front was even more obviously low than when it was stock. The fab-tech lift is sold as being a 1.5" lift, but I got almost 2" of lift with my kit (although I...
I reported the issue to the dealer when I had a loaner OB. Not sure what their official means of reporting the issue to Ford is though. I agree things like this need to be passed on.
