Had a soft top OBX and now have my Wildtrak MIC - road noise (tires, trucks, etc) much louder in the soft top. MIC w/sound deadening (haha) is quieter there but wind noise is still pretty loud. and since I put in a light bar, I now also have a wonderful whistle to go with all the wind noise.
I do not have quite enough ceiling height in my garage for a hoist or I would do that instead. There is an alternative to the one the OP mentions that is not quite as expensive. I am not affiliated but am considering this lift as an alternative...

I’m at 16.9mpg combo in my 2.7 Sas Wildtrak. Had an OBX 2.3 non Sas for 2mos that was at 20.8mpg. I keep it in normal and only slightly aggressive on acceleration.
