Which is a big part of the reason I purchased a manual tranny 2019 Corvette Z06 last year -- before they became extinct when the new DCT-only mid-engine car arrived this year.
But in our Badlands, the 10 sp. auto is a better choice for us.
That assumes the difference would be that small.
If I go with Stephens, I pay circa $2500-$3000 less than MSRP (likely more by the time DIO's are factored in), and also save most of what would otherwise be the local dealer's $799 processing fee.
I drive 6 hrs with my wonderful wife through...
First, for those that believe that Ford should be prohibiting ADM, they can't -- the dealer lobbies have been very effective in ensuring dealer franchise laws block that. At most they can "cajole" the dealers.
My apologies for the length of what follows; feel free to skip it all.
The primary...
I started swapping OE stereos ~45 years ago. Today, I almost never do because the manufacturers have started integrating other system functionality into the entertainment system.
For example, the HVAC controls in my 2018 F-150 are linked into the Sync 3 system (and it's annoying, as the auto...
Seriously? I'm an attorney, and even I would not attempt to "lawyer" that into a commitment to reduce the price $300 no matter what happens. Besides, somewhere along the line Stephens has been clear that they would honor x-plan *IF* it was available. But Ford (not Stephens) has taken that...
Until Ford puts an e-mail announcing B&P in my inbox (like they said they would eons ago), *then* I'll at least suspect it may happen.
Until then, I'll be sitting here with my popcorn watching how far this thread gets before the (inevitable) lock.
The "available" listing is the Sasquach package -- as in Sasquach is available with all packages.
The M210 was identified as what is in the Sasquach package (the front locker is in the M210).
I'll look around later to find the Ford source -- can't do it at the moment.
This kind of steel is rather expensive, as are the processes that shape it (such as hot stamping). Thus, its use is limited to locations where its strength is needed to offset weight reduction (using less metal) -- typically in places like B-pillars that need to meet side impact requirements...
We also love the Kona Blue on our Mustang, and would take that in a heartbeat if available.
We've gone through all the colors multiple times, and it appears we're zeroing in on AMB. Rapid Red does not look as good as Ruby Red on our F-150, so that color would be disappointing. We can't stand...
$0.02: They look to me a little more robust than thin film stickers -- more like a thin aluminum or hard plastic plate with adhesive on the back. They also look like they'd be more of a pita to "floss" off without damaging the fender finish.
When I replaced the chrome 5.0 badges with black...
There are a number of reasons to not go Sas. In fact, I'd prefer the 33's. But there is one reason that overrules all of the negatives: the spouse wants 35's.
I didn't make it through 39 years of marriage to a veterinary surgeon with scalpels, needles, etc. in the house, without learning...
Not correct. According to Ford, Badlands has 4.46:1 with the stock 33s. 4.7:1 w/Sas.
