I keep up with this forum as much as one can reasonably be expected to, have yet to see a photo of the 4d base. I have seen 2d, and it looks better than the CGI would suggest.
If I get flamed, flame on, flamers.
Thus, my belief that this is the Ford hairy armpit. Seen pics of most every other model (barring FE) in 2 and 4d. But the 4d base maybe hasn't even been built yet. They don't like it, we won't like it.
In the engineering world, we often leave a "hairy armpit" in our proposals to give clients the opportunity to criticize and give their inputs to the design / plans without drastically altering scope. Think a misplaced control switch, difficult to reach button or ugly exterior choice. It seems...
That's terrific insight. Thank you - I'm leaning unsquatched BD as my "preferred" build and squatched base as my "budget build". Tough calls but money is an important consideration. Comfort in a DD is probably worth more (practically) to me than having a pre-built crawler on my hands. Though, my...
This would be perfect. I don't plan to rock crawl seriously until the Bronco has lost it's shine.
At which point I might be interested in the front locker and swaybar disconnects or a performance suspension. But that will be a slow building process based upon my skills and needs and probably...
Let's hope it's a good deal. If it's $2k, the SaS becomes a way better deal. I'm hoping sub-1K for the 2" on BD. Would make my ideal rig a possibility. I don't need SAS but I want a bit more vertical, and KO2s straight away
What is the locker control setup in the Base and BB models which include OPTIONAL Aux switches? Are these controls built into the GOAT modes? A selector switch on the dash? How does one engage the locker w/o aux switches/can they be routed to aux switches?
So I've been strugglebussing on the right rig for myself. To me it boils down to the USE case of the Bronco with sasquatch. In particular the BD trim. I already know that more than likely, I could get by for everything I need to do with my Jeep Renegade. I have dreams of doing more, of course so...
Is that something we need to warn people of so that they can prepare snarky remarks or.. ? Asking for a friend. :ROFLMAO: Hoping the community is kind, I've wheeled my unibody renegade to max at this point (a low max but a max) almost rolled it last time I was at Big Bend.. Looking to make the...
Hey guys - I was bored today and decided to try my hand at rendering and un-fender[flared] squatch. The SEMA build looked cool, but obviously had some interesting panels. Anyways, here's my shot at it.
Also a Red "O" because I forgot to pull that out of the image! :D
True- and I am tempted to this mentality. Hoping this is a long term vehicle for me. 10-15 years or wheels falling off and such! But, in the near term, GAP coverage is a must! As much as GAP coverage often stinks, can you imagine being underwater by 4-8k on a bronco that was totaled by another...
I'm thinking SAS hype has got me more than logic.
The 2d-BD looks pretty good, and is likely a very capable off road machine for even a fun day of wheeling for me. Maybe that's my best bet!
I miss the old days when a rubber floor was a cut-rate feature. :(
My dog sheds like a chip throwing wood planer, my current solution in my Renegade is keeping him in the cargo area in a mesh-type dog crate. Kinda sad he lives back there, but I can't have him up in my cloth seat and carpet...
