That is correct. They reuse the back glass but install new side glass at the dealer. They were supposed to have had the side glass installed before we got there but they didn't. Total time took about two and a half hours.
I wonder if the difference has to do with trim levels. Mine has a plastic pedal but I also have the rubberized flooring. Do the models that come with carpet have a rubber gas pedal?
Treadwear seems to be very good. When new, the KO2s are supposed to have 15/32" of tread. I just measured the back and they appear to have about 12/32" left.
That's interesting. What weight figure are you using for the Suburban? The number that I have for curb weight for the Suburban is...
My wife and I have had our 4-door Badlands Bronco for one year and it has been great! We have just under 20,000 miles on it and it has not been a Pavement Princess. Here is a list of the off-road adventures that we have been on.
• White Rim Trail in Canyonlands NP
• 2 times on Hog’s...
Yes! Thank you for the update. That's really good news for you and also good news for those of us who are in the build date "danger zone" but have gotten over the 8,000 to 10,000ish miles threshold.
I have the opposite guilt. We've had it almost 12 months now and we've put 20,000 miles on it. And it's not my daily driver. It's our weekend adventure vehicle! 😳
The sway bar can only be disconnected at speeds under 20 mph. I'm not suggesting removing that. I'm just suggesting being able to disconnect it in 4A and 2H. Once we go over 20 mph, it would reconnect.
Also one area of concern that I have with powertrain binding is when using the sway bar disconnect (sta-bar disconnect) because it will only disconnect when in 4H or 4L. One huge advantage of the sway bar being disconnected is the more comfortable ride when going over uneven surfaces such as...
Serious question... how do you know it's not the shocks? I also agree that the ride when going between 10 and 30 mph over a moderately rough road is very stiff, even harsh. But I am quite sure it is the shocks and here's why.
I'll compare a few things between our Bronco and the Suburban it...
My engine oil temp got up to 242 degrees the other day while towing up a mountain. I did a little research and found TFL's video of them towing with their Bronco. Their oil temp got up to 244 degrees. This is a little warm for my liking but still wasn't into the "red" so I guess it's alright...
We also did the White Rim trail two weeks ago in our stock non-SAS Badlands. We also did it in 1 day. My wife and I had COVID and this is how we quarantined. 😁
It's a beautiful trail and we had no problems what-so-ever. Other than my wife nearly having a heart-attack on some of the shelf...
Excellent info, thanks for sharing. Just a note on my experience with fuel mileage. I have noticed a big drop when traveling over 70 mph. On a recent trip to Moab, we averaged almost 26 mpg on our way back to Utah county. I kept my foot out of it and tried to keep the speed down to 65 mph...
17,328 miles on our 2.7 4-door Badlands! 😁
The transfer case rear seal was replaced under warranty about a month ago because it was leaking. No other issues.
Ability to use the sway bar disconnect in 4A and two wheel drive.
Digital dash or get rid of the analog speedometer.
Less noisy hardtop.
Softer shock valving on the Badlands.
Include a gear indicator on the dash when in auto.
Stronger tie-rods/steering.
AC vents for the rear seat.
I have a Badlands non-SAS 4 door with the HOSS 2.0 suspension. I have two questions I'm hoping you will be able to answer.
1. In regards to medium speed compression dampening (traveling on a medium rough dirt road at 20 to 30 mph), would you consider that your EXP shock will provide a firmer...
Come on guys, get real! This doesn't prove anything about the capabilities of the Bronco. It's Loren Healy! He could drive my stock Honda Civic over this trail. Now... if you let me take that same Bronco over the same trail and I make it, that would prove beyond any doubt that the Bronco is...
