I was thinking of adding them to my base build, under the premise that something is better than nothing.....and yes eventually going after market for sliders like on the jeeps that can be used as a step as well.....then doing all of my under body armor after market......but now I am second...
loading mine....it will see plenty of trail time...will be overloading it upon my retirement...but will see plenty of trails prior to that......but I get what you are pointing out...(y)
going with the Squatch........will look to the aftermarket or Ford for an additional 2"-3" lift for a little extra clearance.....and when they are worn out...a true set of 35's.....pretty sure duff or Bailie built will at some point offer longer radius arms or a four link for the rear of the gen...

I hope we can get a 2" lift added to the Squatch package........that extra 2" is all I really need over the Squatch lift .....gives those 35"s room to work.......
possibly a 2 door overland version.....or a 2 door lifted on 37's with the reveal that you will be able to get those options when ordering.......?.......
currie enterprises built an ifs for rock crawling........it can be done.....it just comes down to how deep are your pockets................I just wonder how long it will take for the first live axel swap kit to come out ?...............
the overland did not have the Squatch lift.....they just threw 35's under the Badlands model....thats why it looks "stuffed"........but I still would like a little more lift even over the Squatch lift.....im with ya there...
I think the best thing is that you don't have to get them at purchase....but they are in the aftermarket from Ford.....so you can do a little at a time...and they have been fitted to this vehicle
