  1. Ford to reduce Bronco production [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I agree with the hefty price increases on the Bronco. I know content sells, but having a lower price point base also sells. The Maverick XLs seem to be selling fairly well due to their lower price point. However, using the term 'poseur' comes across as you know how to use a Bronco properly...
  2. Automatic gearshift housing lighting

Yep, I've seen that. The E450 shows it when you are in just regular drive mode. It really helps when pulling a short but steep grade to decide if I want to let it top out in D or if I want to force a gear shift. The point being it would be nice if it was done all the time.
  3. Automatic gearshift housing lighting

My E450 based RV shows the gear on the screen in front of the driver. I wish the Bronco did that, especially with a 10 speed.
  4. Latest 2025 Bronco Production Key Commodity Constraints + Total Retail Unscheduled Orders (11/18/24)

Looks like the 2 doors are a bit more popular than production can support.
  5. Heritage standard to Heritage limited trade in. Should I go for it?

If you can make it work financially and aren't stretching to do it, I'd say go for it. I had ordered a 4 door but that all changed when I walked into a dealership and saw a 2 door (abandoned order). Not even in a color I really wanted, but I've always loved 2 door SUVs since young self was...
  6. Please Help: V6 or Painted Roof?

If you want a painted top, I'd set that as your highest priority. There is no way I would sand, paint, or otherwise touch a MIC top. While it might work, these things are not of stout construction. I'd get a painted MOD top that is hopefully of more robust construction. BTW, the 2.3L is a...
  7. Using 4A when raining?

Counter point to folks saying the 4wd doesn't help other than getting you going. That isn't quite true. Given slippery conditions.... when I lift on the throttle, engine braking is now applied to all 4 wheels instead of just the front or rear, so under light deceleration 4wd is better. When...
  8. Secluded Maintenance: Brake Fluid Change

I used to dismiss brake fluid changes, but I've come around over the years. I have no idea the cost but will be doing it for mine and typically do it for my other vehicles.
  9. Using 4A when raining?

If the rain is heavy, I do shift to 4A especially when at higher speeds. The extra stability of the front tires pulling is an extra safety measure when all the idiots are out in the rain.
  10. The first Classic Super Bronco with a 7.3L Megazilla

I like the idea but that is a lot of torque / hp for an old school chassis. Easily end with the rubber side up. I love the engine in my RV. Sounds great on a cold start / fast idle. Even with the 20+ ft long exhaust.
  11. Do (mostly) no issues Broncos exist?

Zero issues with my 2022. The only time it was in the shop was when someone hit me and took it out of action for a few months. Otherwise just normal maintenance.
  12. Totaled?

I brought it up to the opposing insurance company early on, but they deferred and said we don't want to discuss until we get your Bronco fixed. So several months pass, and I bring it up again. They give a response that is low (around $3k), I counter with $6 -7k, and they reject it and say they...
  13. Totaled?

Diminished value has to do with your vehicle now being worth less than it was before it was damaged. Even if it repaired to like new, the record of having been in an accident will impact the value of the vehicle. Mine was hit by someone similar to the OP but did more damage. Their insure...
  14. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

Nice bullet points. I thought I saw a video with image highlighting the Harvester power pack low and in the back. I can see a tightly packaged engine the size you mention fitting the bill. The miles per kWhr figure you mention are eye opening. My wife's Ioniq 5 runs around 4 miles per kWhr...
  15. Totaled?

Not likely totaled. Mine was worse and they fixed it. If the other person is at fault, make sure you go for diminished value. I used a 3rd party to assist and ultimately got a decent check for my Bronco being worth less now.
  16. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

That first thought was the same for us, and we ultimately got my wife a crossover EV. So far 9000 miles of city driving and she loves it. I told her it was going to be our in town workhorse. The Bronco has turned into our long distance rig if we aren't in our RV. And agreed the interiors...
  17. Official: Scout EV SUV & Pickup debut w/ Gas Range Extender, 4x4, BOF, Lockers, Sway Bar Disconnect -- All Specs, Wallpapers, Videos

I like it. We'll see if the styling details hold in the production model. Might consider jumping in for the reservation. But I doubt I move on from the Bronco. Took too long for this one to come back around. I've been around them since 1975, so it's kind of in the blood by now.
  18. What's your most under-used feature?

Lane keep assist, analog speedo, GOAT modes, tach, and probably other things I forgot are on there.
  19. Stroppe Edition Bronco Spied in First Real-Life Look 📸

What is the base color of it? Are the white and the orange/red both painted on or is one a wrap? I think the black should have been limited to the raised area of the hood similar to what some other vehicles have done over the years. It might not be historically accurate, but it should would...
  20. 2-door Heritage 4cyl auto towing

The 2 door tows pretty well. Control your speed, give a decent stopping distance allowance, and you'll do great. The only thing that towed weird was when I flat towed my Mini Cooper. The forces from the Mini wanted to push the back end of the Bronco around. Going above 55 mph was sketchy...
