Yes, there have been a couple accounts of better fuel mileage after install, which makes sense as the intake increases induction efficiency. However, S&B has not released any specific testing/statements that claim an increase in MPG... yet.

The only benefit you get from having it installed all the time is to monitor certain realtime parameters as well as datalog the vehicle. Otherwise you can unplug it and store it once the vehicle has been flashed.

In my opinion you would only see benefits from the cal whether towing or not. The additional HP/TQ along with the change in shift schedule should benefit the vehicle all around. We have customers who tow with the Ford Performance cal and have nothing but good things to say about it. Let us...
