From the Kicker Key 200.4 manual in the discussion of wiring for power:
The KEY amplifier is capable of using the wiring directly from your head unit, but for best results it is recommended you use power and ground wiring from the vehicle’s battery and chassis. KICKER recommends 14 gauge wire.
Yeah, I'm not running power for anything as I will pay someone to install. This particular amp can run with power from the stock radio. Crutchfield specifically told me no dedicated power line is necessary for this amp. I'm sure of that as I wouldn't have purchased one that requires...
Ok, so if it is not powering on with the blue wire not connected AND power is not connected to the battery, what am I missing that I need to do to get this amp to power on??
So how do I set up for speaker detect? I am asking as I have hooked up the amp four times and it won't power on. Each time crutchfield tells me something different about having to run power to the battery or the remote wire to a fuse. AGain, I apologize for my ignorance but how do I set up...
I apologize if this has been addressed 1000 times. I can't find the simple answer. 2024 Wildtrak. Non B&O system. Attempting to install Kicker Key 200.4 amp. Harness I am using is LocPro LPHFD31. I bought this amp as I don't have to run power wire to the battery. Want power to come from...
I wouldn't go that far with it. One dealership said they would do it but hadn't done one prior and it would be a "learning curve". The second one didn't know what it was.
It's a Ford part with a Ford warranty.
So the ProCal tune doesn't change anything performance wise on a 2023? What do you mean by "piggy back"? Sorry for my ignorance on this issue. @LethalPerformance
Trying to decide on the performance tune for my 2023 2.3L Black Diamond. Can someone that has done the tune help me to understand what I will notice different from running in sport mode as is and after the tune. Thanks. Essentially, why not just run in sport mode and skip the tune?
For someone that only added the stinger sub and made no other changes, was that adequate? This base audio system with no sub is terrible. LIke a tin can. Thanks.
