I believe the difference is one is vinyl and one is twill. From a Bestop video I watched on similar Jeep tops, the twill should be much quieter and will feel more like an expensive sports car convertible top vs the vinyl. But, thatās if the difference here is the same as on the Jeeps. I think...
I believe itās the same top as this one shown in the CEMA video (the drop down at the B pillar looks the same). Does the safari thing, but not sure if it fully folds down like a convertible.
Iām probably going to wait as well. And Iām not certain yet that these two 2-door soft tops retract all the way like a convertible. If the same as the one from CEMA then I think they only have a sunrider retractable top over the front seats. So Iāll probably wait as you say and get one of...
The two retractable 2 door soft tops are on the pdf with the accessories list, not on the B&P (builder) yet. I think they will be on the builder by March, but probably that will be after the time you order.
There are two retractable 2-door soft tops on the accessories List: one vinyl, and one twill. Iām guessing this fastback is the twill. The canvas Bimini is just a thin top and no sides.
Guessing the issue is more that your dealer has too many early timing reservations before you and not enough ā21 allocations to cover. If you are willing to change dealers, Iām pretty sure your 7/14 reservation would be early enough to get a ā21 allocation somewhere across the US because you...
Please ask Stig or @LEGEND if they can take a close look or ask to see if the 2 door fastback top fully retracts like a convertible, or if it just has a sunrider front seat opening and a safari top only. Very important to know before ordering the $2,000+ twill bestop soft top on the accessory...
You might be in luck. Another poster said that Stephens mentioned that 10 of the original top 70 have cancelled. Not guaranteed, but maybe gives you hope. Iām guessing quite a few others from the original 70 will also delay for a ā22.
Yes Stephens. Great people. But Ford is screwing the consumer and dealers like Stephens (who are competing for our business) with their allocation formula. My hope is that the initial allocation was based on the number of reservations at Stephens back in Sept/Oct, before many of us moved our...
Iām a July 15 reservation and Iām #169 at my dealer, and they only have around 70 initial allocations. Crazy that July 15 is out of the initial allocations by more than double. Makes me wonder if I will be in the second half of 2022 receiving my July 15 Bronco if I stay with them, as I donāt...
Iām not certain yet if the āretractableā 2 door soft tops on the accessories guide are āfully retractableā like a convertible, or if they only have a retractable sunrider portion over the front seats, with the rest of the top not folding down and just staying in safari position with the windows...
Iām hanging in there and definitely will be driving my BD either ā21 or ā22. But, I thought it was worth hearing opinions on whether or not this allocation game is fully legal.
Iām on the bubble as a 7/15 reservation holder. So Iām likely going to miss out on a 2021 at my dealer because of allocations ā but not because of my overall reservation order across the nation. That doesnāt sit right with me.
But, it also seems to fit the definition of āanti-competitiveā...
I believe the $350 top is the soft canvas Bimini, not the fastback softop shown in this thread and at CEMA. Iām guessing the fastback one is closer to $1,000, but thatās a guess.
While I like the idea of having a soft top for my 2 door, this one doesnāt fold completely back like a convertible I donāt think (you could see that the SEMA top didnāt have the right arms to fold back). So, Iāll wait until aftermarket for a 2 door soft top that folds down like a convertible...
Other similar ones available that go around the center camera but this is: Hollywood Racks SR1 2-Bike Carrier - Spare Tire Mount
https://www.etrailer.com/Spare-Tire-Bike-Racks/Hollywood-Racks/HRSR1.html
While Iāll use a hitch mount for my multi bike rack, Iām also going to get a tire mount rack that will stay more snug against the vehicle and swing away with the rear door like this one on a wrangler.
No red flags. Kick ass vehicle the way it is. No other topless 4X4 other than a Wrangler which I donāt want. If thereās something I canāt get on my 2Dr BD in year one that I canāt live without when it comes In the future, Iāll trade it in and get it. And, as said, who knows how long we have...
