I think I am going to keep my spot and potentially be one of the first on the block to have one. I know all the pit falls of first model year problems and everything listed above, but I really want this truck. I know down the road they will be better deals to be had at dealers when demand...
I am considering the same thing. IMO it’s almost impossible to coordinate a WT exterior to interior with the MIC top. CG looks good for exterior with MIC, but looks ridiculous without all black for interior.
Probably not. I think once you give a deposit on your build and sign the paperwork, it would be non refundable. It’s worth asking your dealer before you sign the check.
Can one of you guys fly a drone over the Plymouth Michigan plant and see what’s going on there? I long for the days of a few poor quality spy shots we would discuss for weeks.
My guy at Empire (Huntington Ford) said they were not going over MSRP either. I guess that’s all we can expect. I have said it before, when my Dad was selling Fords and the Thunderbird came out, they were getting 5k over list. If you want the best deal, buy a leftover off the lot.
A follow up to the $500 deposit that was requested. I did not do it. I spoke to my guy at Empire, different from the guy who called me a few weeks ago. He said to wait till next month when we finalize the order to put money down.
I had not heard of it before either but maybe they are trying to weed out people who won’t convert before they put too much time into it? He did say there would be more down payment later.
My dealer, Empire Ford in Huntington, called yesterday. They are sending a credit card authorization to me to secure my reservation with a $500 deposit. He also asked for my shirt size as part of a swag bag we are getting. It we a nice conversation until I asked when I could expect delivery...
My wife’s 2020 explorer has the 2.3. It’s fun to drive in sport mode but smells like a mix of burnt oil and accessory belt after a few minutes. 4000 miles if you are wondering.
