Yeah that one that came with it would totally wear/cut the winch line. Also it was barely hanging on by one bolt after my first outing. I just took my plate bracket from my modular bumper, flipped it upside down, and bolted it to the light bracket mount on the top of the bumper.
I finally got mine all done yesterday. a buddy had to fabricate brackets for my ambers in the bumper. I looked for awhile for a stout winch bumper that relocated all of the sensors and camera and this checked all the boxes. It’s the ARB Summit bumper.
Took this off of my FE when I added a winch. No dent on it, maybe a couple scratches, but nothing major. Has the holes for the front sensors. Took it off at 16,500 miles. Located in Star, ID. Will not ship.
I would not put those on if I was loaded heavy and running 37’s for sure. I’m loaded heavy and just trying to get back to factory, maybe an inch higher. if I ever decide to go with 37’s I’ll have to go back to the drawing board and redo everything to make sure the geometry stays right. And I’d...
Mine is currently in the shop right now getting the eibach stage 2 on it for the same reason. I’ve added a ton of weight and settled on the eibach because it is adjustable. Wanted to lift it back up and level it but still dial it in to make sure I can park in the garage still.
I had three tickets to go and only used one. Not sure if the other two have expired or if they expire at all. I’d be willing to look into transferring to someone if it’s possible. Not sure what the value is on it.
I ordered a Smittybilt X20 Gen3 a month ago. Called today and still no updated ETA. So looking for other options. The ARB website lists under compatibility 3 Warn winches and the one smittybilt winch. All 10K winches. I saw that Maine overland put a Come Up winch in theirs. For those of you that...
Thanks for the link. I'll look through it. I was just hoping someone has gone through this before and I could learn from their experience and they could tell me the right way to go.
Yeah I searched a bunch too but couldn't find anything. Don't want to spend a ton on my daughters rig but want to make sure that I plan to do the right thing the first time. Thanks
I am upgrading to the ARB Summit bumper this month on my FE and will be handing down my modular bumper to my daughter's Big Bend. She just has the basic bumper now but does have the factory fog lights. My question is do I try to mount the factory fogs in the modular bumper and keep them on the...
Mine works just as well as my previous Raptor. Doesn't light your hands on fire but its nice enough that I have left it on all winter. I have noticed that my heated seats in my FE do not get as hot as my daughter's in her Big Bend with cloth. Personally I'm glad. I keep the heated seats on the...
I’ve had a squeak from metal to metal contact of my Gobi rack and my RTT. Think I got it licked today. Added 12 rubber washers to the mounts and a couple thick felt/rubber patches. Had to take it out in the backyard to test it out. squeaking is gone but now I am starting to notice other sounds. Haha
Same here. I spend days at a time in the backcountry fly fishing. No cell service, which is nice. Last thing I want to do it take my keys with me, take a dip in the river, and then be stuck in the hills with a broken fob. Lock keys in and hit the river. Been doing this with every ford I have had...
Looking pretty seriously at this bumper. Was it a one man install job? And how long did it take you? Just wondering if I should go about it myself or have it installed. Thanks
