Had a long conversation with a nice lady at Blue OX yesterday. They will start building the base plate for the HD modular bumper next week. She is going to send me the installation instructions on monday after they are released to the distributors. The way she explained the installation to me...
OBX with hard top fresh from the dirt pile is at the dealer, pick it up tomorrow. Build date was 06/29
One ding on the hood, will require paint repair, two rubs on left rear quarter panel , 71 miles on the odometer and 9 miles to empty.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad it is here and looks great even dirty.
i'm an electrical controls engineer and I added a 7 pin connector and a brake controller to my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Lots of wiring and a relay. Don't think I would try it on my Bronco, I did order the tow package. That Can Buss can get you in trouble real fast.
Like the idea to order a...
This is from the first post:
" Will only fit Broncos with tow hooks: this kit will only fit 2021 Bronco models with OEM tow hooks."
The HD Modular has shackle brackets not tool hook.
Just what I'm looking for BUT need a model that will work with the HD bumper.

I assume you are not doing any overnight stops that would require a place to park the trailer. Setting up the Bronco to tow could cost between $1K and $2K depending how it is done. That would buy a lot of gas just to tow it twice a year. O, I almost forgot put a shipping blanket on the front...
The opening in this adapter is not wide enough to fit on the Bronco D ring bracket. The adapter is designed for a 1" thick bracket and the Bronco bracket is 1 3/16" thick. Will require a little modification.
Think the issue will be on the Ford side the Ford brake controller requires the factory tow package to plug and play, otherwise it is a lot of custom wiring.
If ours would show up I will be there ASAP. OBX with Modular bumper. Was all ready to go to Blue Ox over a month ago but got stuck in the Dirt Pile.
chtucker Thanks for posting!!
If you are in the slightest thinking about a brake controller and can get it, get the Towing Capability package. Then get the Ford brake controller and it is all plug and play.
Not saying it cannot be added but it will cost close to half the cost of the towing package and a lot of headaches...
Since it is rated at 12,000 lbs pulling capacity why does Warn state "Never tow vehicle by attaching a tow bar to the eyelets on the bumper.
Do not attach tow bars directly to the bumper. Damage to bumper may occur. WARN bumpers are not designed to be used for flat towing. "?
