  1. Will your Bronco be your first manual vehicle?

Gotta admit, while it definitely seems nice to have, and any sports car manual should definitely have one, I'm not so sure that I'd really miss it very much in the Bronco. Of course, I might realize later that the opposite is true. It's all so automatic to me that I can't really say. Maybe...
  2. Will your Bronco be your first manual vehicle?

I know it's borderline sacrilege, but as a kid of the 80s, I always fancied the TR7/8. I know. I know.:)
  3. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

Hmmm... something fishy there. Can't be less clearance with the 35s. There is less articulation with 35s, of course. EDIT: I'll add... there's only a difference in gearing if you're going auto trans. Manual Badlands has 4.7 with or without squatch. And the transfer case doesn't change for...
  4. What do we know about this seemingly new line of Goodyear tire?

Here's a look at the BFG KM3, KM2, KO2 and then the Good Year Territory. As you can see, the Territory is like a hybrid, but appears a bit closer to the A/T side of the spectrum than the M/T side.
  5. Will your Bronco be your first manual vehicle?

Totally with you. Been manual only for about 30 years with one brief dalliance with an auto. I hated it. I think I managed to keep it for almost 2 years before it had to go. What a miserable experience. I was absolutely thrilled that the Bronco was going to offer it. I had basically...
  6. Official Update: Bronco Reservation Move Cutoff Date (Jan 31) + 2021MY Allocations Cutoff Date (Sep 18) + 2022 MY Reservation Start Date

Just want to say that I think it's really cool that Bronco6g sent out a "special alert" email to members for this critical piece of information. Bronco6g, your true partner for your Bronco purchase :-)
  7. 2021 Bronco Will be First in World to Use Fortiform 980 GI Grade Steel

I'm in Michigan, so only one question... what are the corrosion resistance properties
  8. No manual per doctor's orders

In 10 years, he can get a bionic Achilles tendon implant and swap his bronco to a manual!
  9. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

That would be wonderful. I have no doubt it's possible, but Ford's current comparison matrix indicates that the feature is only for the 10sp. So one shouldn't assume that they are going to get it until it's in writing from ford. That said, it seems at this point that nothing is really in...
  10. Why tune an automatic 2.3?

On second thought. I strongly encourage everyone to consider getting the 2.3+auto and considering a tune. If there's more demand in the market, that will mean better availability to those of us without a choice. In all seriousness though the Ranger being 2.3 only should take care of us.
  11. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

Would love to see that, but I thought that it was already stated that this feature was for automatic only. This is a good link if you haven't seen it yet... https://media.ford.com/content/dam/fordmedia/North%20America/US/product/2021/bronco/pdf/2021-Bronco-2dr-4dr-Prelim-Tech-Specs.pdf The...
  12. Why tune an automatic 2.3?

You did disclaimer... I just think that you are assuming that there are a bunch of folks wanting to foolishly tune their 2.3s autos. I believe it's really the small group of die hard manual drivers that are just looking to soften the blow from the bad hand we've been dealt by Ford. No manual +...
  13. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

One thing I don't like about this forum is that everyone thinks that everyone else is shopping the same trim, powertrain. and 2/4 door that they are - and speaks accordingly. On the BL+manual, gear ratio is no difference squatch or not. Manual ain't getting no trail assist, regardless. On...
  14. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

I gotta admit. The toughest call for me on the Bronco are the color, and the 33s vs 35s. In Michigan, we get plenty of snow. But I don't even think I'll notice any difference on that front. I'm confident in my ability to drive most any vehicle in a manner that is appropriate to the equipment...
  15. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

This is a good point. I've seen the close-ups, they won't be as bad as a stereotypical MT tire, that's almost certain. I also heard that they qualified for the snowflake symbol. I'll still stand by my statement that they won't be as good as the KO2s. But I don't know anything more than...
  16. Why tune an automatic 2.3?

I suspect that nearly everyone interested in the 2.3 tune IS going for the manual. Otherwise, I agree. I don't see a good case for it. The only other reason I could imagine would be to slightly reduce the upfront purchase cost and add the tune later when they have more available funds??. Do...
  17. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

They will not be as good as the 33 BFGs. The tread pattern of the 35 MTs will not be as good in the conditions that you mention. This is just the way it is. Mud Terrain tires aren't, and really can't be. They're designed and optimized for mud and off road conditions. The MTs will be better...
  18. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

And this is why the Squatch package for BL adds only around half the cost, compared to what it is on most other trims. * tentative - based on the survey prices, of course
  19. Which will cost more - automatic or manual?

Automatic is something like a 1200-1500 option, I think. If you want manual+Sasquatch, you're going to have to wait until late '21 at the earliest.
  20. Ford email update -- reservations, ordering, mid-October Build & Price

As I mentioned 10 or 20 pages ago (no, I don't blame you for missing it), I have two reservations under two different Ford.com accounts (used different email addresses) and I still got only one email and it was for my second res... placed two days after putting in my first. I did use the same...
