The top Xpel is what we have. I would have also considered the top 3M film. Our (*very* good) installer leans toward the Xpel, so we went that way, without regret.
I also power wash, use the two-bucket method with grit grates, and multiple towel changes.
That said, for the first time ever...
I like and respect your point of view. However, JFK was not a rock-crawler, and like me would probably have liked to have clutch management taken out of the equation when first starting noob off-roading 101. ;)
We are going AMB, but I generally *really* dislike dark colors due to the swirls. The last three cars we've had top-end PPF installed in various amounts (front clip on the F-150, front clip and some of the sides on the Mustang, total coverage on the Z06).
We will do the front clip and the full...
There's now at least a dozen threads that will come up in a search on "GVWR."
TLDR version: The vehicle's load rating "just happens" to correspond to how close its weight comes to the 6000 lb. GVWR limit before crossing into the next light truck weight class, with different vehicle...
I have a 2019 Mustang GT with an MT82. I'm not going to be one of those "but mine is great" kind of people.
Instead, I want to post what I believe are the two primary issues, and why I'm good with having a later MT-82: (i) early units had parts that were not good enough; (ii) Ford's moving...
Corrected.
Good luck finding *any* vehicle without significant foreign part content -- and it's been that way for at least the last three decades. Welcome to the global economy.
Despite all the flag-waving, the mere use of "foreign" parts hasn't had any significant impact on quality or...
Respectfully disagree -- I believe you are seeing the sun's effect in the clear coat in the black paint (and if there's metal flakes in the paint, that too). AMB is certainly dark (to the point of being black without strong light), but *if* there's strong light, the blue metal flakes *really*...
IMO, given the way "trucks" like F-150s have been luxed out, they're all "cars."
Alternatively stated, to me if the vehicle doesn't have a truck Class rating (e.g., Class 8), it's a four-wheel car, regardless of how "tough" the body looks.
I'm in "the soft top design is ok" camp.
Only thing I am looking forward to is the aftermarket coming up with some sort of replacement for the rear window section that will provide a flip-up window like on the hard-tops -- ideally a replacement that uses the OE soft top's upper and side...
(i) open the remote's case
(ii) solder wires to the terminals on both sides of the momentary microswitch that is depressed when you push the opener's button
(iii) run the wires to the aux switch of choice
(iv) stash the reassembled remote somewhere on the vehicle where it's out of the way...
