@PNWBronco Yeah, they’ve been great to deal with. I chose them because of how easy they were to work with on a previous purchase. My Bronco arrived there on Wednesday, but I’m on vacation, so I’ll pick it up early next week.
Just landed in California for a short vacation and of course this was in my inbox:
Funny thing is I noticed that the UP auto yard was hopping when I drove past on the way to the airport like a train had arrived.
That sounds like the right answer to me. Hopefully that means we will see the final numbers for ‘21 production and things like actual size of the FE series soon.
@Tuco76 With a day one reservation, I would think pretty early on. The 2dr FEs are coming down the line, and since they will all be out of the way by the end of MY21, the way will be clear to start building the remaining early reservations. (Barring any other commodity constraints, of course.)
This is my experience as well. My dealer is one of the good ones with a staff member dedicated to their Bronco buyers, and was able to see that mine had made it to Chicago, but was unable to see a rail car number.
This is an excellent guide to the process, do keep in mind that as OP said, these...
That would be crazy logistics. I think the current shortage of truck drivers is a more likely explanation. We just bought a new linear accelerator for one of our clinics, it took weeks to get a truck to pick it up at the pier at Long Beach.
Quite possible, looks like they ran down the line fairly close together. I was a 9/24 blend, but my production mail came in on Tuesday like yours, so I suspect it actually ran down the line Monday. According to the tracker, it shipped on 9/28.
That might just kill me. The Union Pacific auto yard for my region is just a few miles from my house. My dealer is actually farther away. I’m hoping it won’t take too long, when I passed it the other day it was completely empty.
FE are definitely getting priority right now. Mine was the same, assigned a build week, built and now shipped. Humorously enough, still no active modules.
Sometimes you just have to laugh at this. Also a 9/24 blend, tracker still shows in production, no modules, but I got my built email! It’s like there’s no set order at all for these systems.
