It should take 30 minutes to change the official on line owner's manuals to show 6 quarts if that is the correct info. As of today Ford on line states 7 quarts.
What is the number for the document stating 6 quarts is correct?
We use this. 2.7 Bronco. If you are somewhat mechanical you can do the install. The routing of the cable from brake pedal to the Ready Brake is not a straight shot on the Bronco. We have the Black Diamond and the skid plates, steering rack etc... make you need to figure a route that does not...
Redline Thank you.
Before your post I checked at local Ford for a new clip for a rod end. Ford does not sell them and requires you to buy a whole new rod/brace. I just found this post and ordered a set of new ends.
Appreciate you coming on this forum.
My GMRS is mainly from a vehicle with a handheld attached to a mobile antenna:
This is hard to explain so hang with me. I am not an expert but my dim head has gathered this basic info. The higher the decibel dB gain your antenna has the greater the chances of reaching greater distances...
GMRS radio frequencies are line of sight. They don't follow the curve of earth or bounce off the ionosphere. At sea level on a beach my line of sight is about 4.5 miles. That is about the expected range of any GMRS handheld when used at the beach. If I climb a 12ft ladder I can double that...
Don't mean to dominate your thread, but please allow me to recommend an antenna that will work to help you. A longer antenna with more gain will reach further and receive better. A great compromise is an antenna called a 1/2 wave designed for GMRS radio frequencies. One that has 2-3 dB of gain...
Good job. From the old days radio was a hobby for the do it yourselfer.
Your way may end up being the perfect solution for someone else.
GMRS repeaters will help you cover a much larger area...if you can reach one with your radio.

For GMRS Radio:
If I was just starting out and wanted to talk with a group I travel with, I'd get a Motorola FRS/GMRS.
If I thought I needed to reach out to some else not in my group and not trying to keep up with me and not expecting my call, I'd look long and hard at the Wouxun KG 905G GMRS...
One of the best reasons to pay the (now) $35 10 year GMRS license fee is to help keep this part of the radio frequency open for GMRS radio use. The radio frequency is limited and business use does lobby hard for more and more space for their needs. It would be sad to lose some of this valuable...
I read the older Trail Rax thread. They said it was going to be a stand alone without the need for a rack. I will call them when they are open. That looks like a winner.
I've wanted one since 1972. The 2021 was the 1st model I could afford to buy.
I still can't afford a 1972 model that is ready to drive across country!!!!
They cost about the same as a Base with ADM.
Do any of you have a rear side window mounting solution for Rotopaks?
I know about the Badass brackets. Are there others?
We don't have a rack and would like a stand alone solution.
It seems the temporary fix is most useful to those who have a brake system that requires adjustment settings. For those that use the Ready Brake system this work around does not seem to offer any advantage since this system works with or without boost.....acknowledging it works better with...
