If you fade all the way rear to just hear the new 6.5s, how does it sound? I don’t have the same speakers as you, but man mine sounds rough. I have sound deadener in the pods, but they sound so hollow.

I preferred Stereo mode before the rear speaker upgrade, but Surround mode seems like the only way to get a marked improvement from the bigger rears. Does that align with your experience?

The OEM pods sit at a different angle to the roll bar for 2dr and 4dr, and use very different brackets. The Mabett supplied brackets look a lot like the 4dr OE brackets. I’m betting that the original release of the pods (which were advertised as 4dr only) were meant to re-use the OE brackets...

Haven’t heard any in person, but the Corsa is my favorite from various videos. Plus (like a few of other brands) you can get an outlet that dumps out in front of the rear bumper instead some big, gaudy tips. It’s really going to be personal preference.
