Anyone know of a way to track my dirt mountain Bronco after it's shipped? Tracker says it was shipped on 10/14 but I (and my dealer) have lost all visibility to where it currently is. Window sticker says CONVOY but the Palsapp still only shows pending with no movement when I enter my VIN.
I'd advise against anyone mounting them in the engine compartment. I had an ARB compressor mounted under the hood of my Jeep and it would barely air up a set of 35s before overheating as it was already hot from being in the engine bay.
Calling ours Bad Batch, due to it being a Dirt Mountain survivor. Even have the personalized plate that says BADBATCH for it and we're replacing the Badlands badging with the dirt mountain/bad batch badge like my forum icon. :)
With the notification that my dirt mountain bronco is officially on it's way, figured it was a good time to sort out the plates.
We're leaning into the Dirt Mountain/Bad Batch thing so BADBATCH is going on the Bronco and BRONCO will hang on the garage wall.
The AEM Services link for my build is now showing an updated Start/End ETA, October 31st - November 6th. That's new and hopefully it's good news.
Still not showing anything for Release Date.
I'm part of a fairly large brand-neutral offroad club which is mostly populated by Jeeps just because that's mostly what's out there. When people starting posting about the Broncos, the haters came out of the woodwork. People were ignorant and hated the Bronco, not because it was a Bronco, but...
As someone who experienced death wobble behind the wheel of a Jeep, it is a pant shitting experience and mine was only at around 45mph. If you didn't almost shit your pants then it wasn't death wobble.
RCV also usually offers a 10 year bomb-proof warranty. I had a friend who broke a shaft by running over his winch cable which bound up the axle and they still replaced it.
Go look through the threads of people upgrading to 35s on this forum. Lots of info there and most say that there's little to no change in road manners going to 35s. Most just claim a loss of 1 MPG.
It will probably help but maybe not in the way you're thinking. It looks like things may have come to a head that could force some sort of decision on how to proceed. Who knows what this decision will be but it has to be better than what's going on. Maybe they swap everyone to a softtop and ship...
