After reading your story, it sounds like your issue is more about trying to get your wife to do more off-roading, than it is about you purchasing a Bronco.
Don't give me wrong, I'm a believer in buying the right vehicle for the right use case. There is a part of me that is kinda disappointed...
You definitely shouldn't notice any rattles or things like that. It will feel like a solid vehicle. However, there will definitely be more wind noise. It's kinda unavoidable with a vehicle that's designed to have everything removed.
Only way you could even consider this a good investment is ... if we get lucky, and this Bronco becomes as popular as the original gen 1 bronco has.
40+ years after they came out, they are going for much more than what they were bought for, roughly double or triple the original MSRP (after you...
For me, I don't need the extra performance. Also, we really don't know what features are going to be on some sort of Bronco Raptor/Warthog variant (Sta-Bar Disco? Washout interior? Manual trans?)
I am happy with the Badlands and don't feel a need to wait and upgrade.
I mean, how much washout capability do you need? This Bronco is with the leather seats. You'd have to be crazy to spray water all over these.
I'd expect to see a slightly different design on the vinyl interior.
On the BroncoNation instagram page they have a Q&A. Someone asked about the white grill and roof option and it appears they are coming out with a color and materials walk-through soon.
Good point. I wouldn't necessarily say that automatically means this guy has to go with the Badlands. I mean, what is his use case? Is this more of a dessert runner or rock crawler?
I know for me, I would go Badlands because I'm primary going to be running muddy trails (flooring is nice)...
At the end of the day, it really comes down to options the other cannot be had with. Based off of what I see, the interior/carpet is really the only thing that fits in this category. Every other option can be added to each model as an accessory or can be swapped (like grilles from what I...
Yeah, I've seen a few threads with similar info. My plan is to get a 2-Door badlands with the High package. I might eventually add on a Roof-Top Tent and a winch, but that's about it for now.
I'm using it as a DD and then plan on doing some off-road trails a few times per year. I'm a...
The answer is Yes. I confirmed with a Ford rep.
The badlands can be optioned with a 33" M/T Beadlock capable combo from the factory. The current visualizer on the Ford site actually features this combination (33" M/T Beadlock Capable wheels)
Haha you know me too well. Right now, I plan on getting the High Package but it really comes down to cost. For me, the only real option on the Lux package I'd use regularly is the Heated Steering Wheel, the other options are just nice add-on's. If the price difference between the Lux and High...
Correct. M/T's are much knobbier and have wider spaced tire tread. This results in more noise and vibrations. This combined with the 35" vs 33" tire results in worse gas mileage.
The 33" BF Goodrich K02 A/T's have excellent reviews. I feel they will be perfectly fine for nearly all the...
I am! For me, it comes down to tires. I plan on DD'ing my vehicles while also taking it off road. It's nice to have all of the hardware for heavy duty off-roading while having the BF Goodrich KO2 A/T's that provide better on-road performance. The 35" M/T's on the Sasquatch are a bit extreme...
Yeah that's fair haha. Some of the songs I like, a few selections are kinda odd. I guess might be a good playlist for those heading out to Colorado to see it
