Not sure what you mean. There are a number of 37's that the wheel range is from 7.5-9.5 inches wide. The wider tire and the narrower wheel lets you air way down and not worry about losing a bead.. Looks a ton better than these brodozers running 12.50's on 12 inch wheels.
ok, let's parse this out a little bit. Are you trying to add 33s to a Big Bend? If you are, you should probably be ok. The 255/75 and 285/70s are technically 32 and 33's respectively. In the real world they MIGHT be a half inch different in height.
Not trying to argue on the internet, but I promise you I can drop a front tire 4” lower with my swaybar unhooked. The endlinks only allow so much misalignment. In a “perfect” world, you might be correct, but jeeps 100% gain effective flex and wheel travel by unhooking that bar. Mine is off...
That’s not correct, a disconnected sway bar absolutely gives you more wheel travel. Otherwise why do we unhook them when we are playing in the rocks?
We stick 37x12.5 17s on the factory wrangler wheels (7.5") The Outerbanks comes with the same width as the jeeps, and they offer 285's from the factory. You should be able to put almost any 33" tire imaginable.
XJ's were GREAT to drive compared to the TJs. That entire generation of jeep SFAs suffered because of the ridiculously short control arms on the front of them. New ones are a completely different animal.
Doesn't the Ranger FX4 have 3.73s? Bronco base is the only version with gears that tall. Everything else is in the 4.xx range. That should eliminate a bunch of what you're seeing with bigger tires on your ranger.
Why is everyone worried about the 35's? The size has almost zero to do with the ride and handling. If anything, the extra sidewall will make it more compliant, assuming Ford does a better job explaining that these things don't need 55 pounds of air in them (looking at you FCA). These...
The only other vehicle with a 2.3L and the option to have a manual and the 10spd auto is the Mustang. Its a $1600 option for the auto there. I'd guess the upgrade from 2.3/7MT to 2.7/10A is in the $3000-$3500 range.
The hole makes it easier to see out/down without poking your head out the window if you are trying to keep your body work off a giant rock, and helps see out the passenger door for the same reason. Having a hole opposed to no door lets you ford deeper water without taking a bath...
Amen, I have never wheeled a set of goodyears that I liked EXCEPT the oddball MT-Rs that weren't unidirectional but looked like they should have made left and rights. KO2's are a great all around tire. My next set will be the patagonia MT's. They wheel well, and they're quiet on the highway...
If Ford was going to hamstring us with the crawl ratio on the squatch, they should have given us a 4:1 transfer case. End of story. 67:1 in a squatch is weak sauce..
As long as Ford was forward looking enough to develop a winch plate that bolts in there and hides/recesses the winch, I'm good with the factory bumper. If their solution is to leave it hanging in the wind on top like the version we have seen, it's a huge disappointment and the entire thing is...
Just like in a wrangler. If the front doors are off, and you are carrying small kids or dogs and leave the rear doors on, how do you roll those windows down if the master switch is on the driver door?
