Before I pull it again, I'm going to order some of the metal clips that I seem to knock off every time I pull the cover. Only done it twice so far but three have come off each time. The first time I was able to find them all but the second time, one went deep into the abyss... I'm sure lost for...
I didn't believe this at first. Based on all of the reviews from others, the center channel made one of the biggest differences on upgrades.
At first, I upgraded the four corners with the Kicker KSC speakers and I've been very happy with that, so far. Last night, I installed the center channel...
The metal clips attached to the center channel cover seemed to come off super easy. On my first attempt, I had three come off. Two were attracted to the speaker magnet and I found another one resting on a ledge that I was able to grab with the magnetic tip of a screwdriver. After reinstalling...
I doubt anyone willing to invest in installing the A2B plans on leaving the stock speakers in.
The 2 extra speakers you are probably missing are just the fact that the front two dash speakers also have a tweeter (2-way speaker)
I upgraded the dash speakers (just the left and right) and the roll bar speakers with Kicker KSC40 speakers and they sound great to me. I had a little bit of difficulty getting my homemade harness to work (bought the parts from Mouser that Flip had recommended) but eventually got it in working...
I ended up "making mine work" so that I didn't have to cut the harness. They seem to be pretty solid but might go ahead and order yours to see how they compare. Based on all of the time I spent messing with them, I would gladly go for a ready to go solution in a heartbeat.
I ordered these parts and the IWISS crimp tool and the crimps look good but for some reason I can't get the wires to make a positive connection when connecting the plug. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but it's late and I'll have to revisit tomorrow. Anyone else struggle with this?
I've been very close to ordering the C1's but have been held back by the thought that they might rub on the grille. Do yours rub? Are you running C1's front and rear?
