Any others experiencing Steering Angle Sensor fault? Any hints on resolving?
I was at the local track, pushing hard yesterday, came home and washed truck including spraying...
Iāve been through this recently. I originally calibrated the truck without going into Engineering Test Mode (gas pedal three times) and it worked perfect. When doing my buddyās truck, I realized I missed the ET so I got into ET did the calibration and everything went to hell. I tried...
Any others experiencing Steering Angle Sensor fault? Any hints on resolving?
I was at the local track, pushing hard yesterday, came home and washed truck including spraying out mud from underside. When I backed into garage with a full lock turn, I got a nasty sound I assume coming from the...
No surprises there. The Turn product has a lot of weak points in design and electronicsā¦. Is there actually anything other than the light housing left after you finish your latest improvement?
Now you got me started. Iād gladly have paid $195 for the long aux wiring lead option. It would saved me a LOT of swearing.
Trying to butt connect wires up behind glove compartment is a pain for righties. I ended sitting upside down in the passenger seat to even have a chance to connect...
thanks for posting this!! And all the follow-up details, this is a huge help to me as I contemplate my suspension overhaul next year. So little info out there.
For reference purposes only, the Foutz mid travel linkage solutionā¦. since theyāre sticking with stock geometry itās an easier...
I had one replaced under warranty in the first year. Both rear shocks bunched up again and Iāve just ignored it since. The boots arenāt really necessary and Iām not going to try to get them replaced every time this happens. Iām guessing Ford and/or Fox came to the conclusion that theyād go...
This is a pretty definitive and comprehensive article on the Bronco Raptor upgrades. The ones that actually matter if you intend to drive it with bad intentionsā¦.
further this explains the engineering behind the changes. Youāre not creating a āproperlyā set up Raptor by throwing some 37s...
Thanks for the pic and literary connection!
Im running the red backlight on my DD lights using the running lights circuit already. So I may not use the Morimoto low light circuitā¦..or I will and disable the DD backlights. Decisions, decisionsā¦.
I already ordered the light. I donāt see any...
Iāll throw in a little practical observation re: bigger after market intercoolers ( Ive got a Whipple)...
if you drive your Raptor in a way that may result in bashing your bash plate from time to time, youāll want to do some trimming on the bash plate.
Fortunately my plate was bashed before I...
Great job! I think this is may be my solution! Iām running the FI bracket wit similar Diode Dynamic reverse/chase lights. A couple questionsā¦.
im assuming you used the OEM harness, does the Morimoto support running and brake lighting? EDIT: Answered this one myself. This supports dim and...
As a Raptor owner who has stress tested my skids, Iāve got no complaints about my gas tank skid. But that said, I have no idea if itās better or worse than other options out there.
I topped off in Fresh Pond which is an uphill 37 mile 1 hour drive to the Loon Lake trailhead. Finished the trail in Tahoma with a little more than a half tank. The trailās pretty short (16 miles) so fuel isnāt really an issue. it just packs a LOT in the first 10 of those 16 miles, ha ha.
Update. I did make contact and broke four clips on the drivers front. Broke 5 more getting the flare off. Managed to save 5 this time. yayā¦. You can see the broken clips still in the fender. Flares have new clips already inserted. 14 total of these on front flare plus 7 of the push/screw...
The Raptor really has to work to get through a LOT of squeezes. Width and wheelbase both present challenges. I followed a well built Samurai through Deer Valley last year. our lines were like we were on two different trails! and he was making it look easyā¦
āguideā was just a friend of a friend who has done the ācon a bunch of times. He led the way, gave advice when different options were available and provided some great spotting. Made it much easier mentally.
It could certainly be done without, highly recommend having someone whoās got a good...
No you donāt do it like a Sasquatch Bronco.
IMO, itās a pain to remove them. I pulled a front flare of for fun, broke something like 11 of the 13 clips. Replacement clips arenāt supercheap when you consider you need three thousand of them for all four flares. Popping it back on with new...
Ran the Rubicon last Thursday with a Rubicon experienced Jeep 392 on 40s leading me and an almost bone stock Bronco Raptor on base wheels. The video is long, but it covers the whole day with lots of Video from my dash showing the other Raptor and me negotiating our way through, quite a few third...
