  1. 2022 Build & Price release and price - 3 questions

If we can't do a retro theme (white top, white grill, top, flares, etc.) we may opt to wait it out for a Heritage Edition or when that type of stuff becomes optional. We have a reservation now for a Wildtrak that we placed in mid-August, so we made cutoff for 2021 but not sure we'll keep it...
  2. Spotted: Bronco Warthog marked as "Warthog" by Ford engineers

Probably would have been a better name for the current 4Runner TRD Pro especially if you read the description... (Good old Twisted Metal)
  3. Why is the Toyota 4runner "behind?"

The new Blazer is just terrible as is the Trax. Chevrolet styling in general is about as appealing as a Lexus front end.
  4. GM Doesn't Want The Ford Bronco To Have All The Fun

As a Hummer H3 owner, I think the Hummer brand came out strong in the beginning, became hated/a joke, was eliminated, and now has had a rebound. Just look at certain used Hummer prices: H1s, H3Ts, H3 Alphas, and the 6.2L H2s. I would consider a Hummer SUV EV but not when it will be 30K more than...
  5. Why is the Toyota 4runner "behind?"

The new 4Runner is due in 2023. They could use the platform to make a modern, retro FJ this time with removable roof and doors. However, where would that leave the 4Runner? I know they sold both during the last FJ's production since they shared a platform, but apparently Toyota brass back then...
  6. Why is the Toyota 4runner "behind?"

We have a 2020 4Runner TRD Pro in Army Green. For 51K, it still rocks halogen headlamps (rectified for 2021), a 5 speed auto, and a v6 that dates back to 2003. It is outdated and overpriced for what it is. Yet, many people still love it. Why? Because it holds onto a simpler era of midsize body...
  7. Wildtrak vs. Badlands.. (Post Pricing survey).. Which one works better for your lifestyle? Why?

We have a Wildtrak reserved and now may switch to Badlands/Sasquatch at order time. We have a dog who would be in the Bronco and the vinyl/no carpet of the Badlands seems like the better choice there because she's a shedder. Problem is we'd never use the rock crawling capability of the Badlands...
  8. Electric HUMMER EV vs. Bronco

I have a Hummer H3 Alpha (the one with v8) with just over 304K. I love it, and it's been a great vehicle. I also have a 4Runner TRD Pro. I have never owned a Wrangler though for various reasons. I would consider a new Hummer EV (the SUV, not pick up version). The profile looks like a modernized...
  9. Lightning Blue Painted Bronco Body

Well, now First Edition reservation holders can see what it will sort of look like.
  10. Lightning Blue Painted Bronco Body

Mod edit: Lightning Blue indoor vs Velocity Blue outdoor. Check this out!
  11. PICS: BASE Bronco in Iconic Silver - completed preproduction model

The gray top doesn't look as bad here and appears to match wheel flares. I still don't know why a matte black theme for everything trim related was so hard. Jeep has been doing it for years, except theirs don't start out grey, but they eventually get there!
  12. Peek at Rapid Red Wildtrak Bronco in Jim Farley interview

I have been thinking of switching to an Outerbanks to avoid the mismatched colors of flares mirror caps and tops we have going on currently... Ha, the bottom is the Orvis Edition Grand Cherokee, so yes, their version of Eddie Bauer. The Mercury Villager Nautica Edition interior looks like Navy...
  13. White top. Why?

When going for that retro look, there is just something about that white contrast. One of my former vehicles.
  14. Peek at Rapid Red Wildtrak Bronco in Jim Farley interview

Have any of the FE reservation holders owned any of these in the past by chance?
  15. Would You Seriously Consider Green?

I think Bronco would look great in a non-metallic green. I would not buy one though since we have this. The only reason we got a TRD Pro was for this color, which was only available on that trim at the time.
  16. Peek at Rapid Red Wildtrak Bronco in Jim Farley interview

It does appear to have Wildtrak badging with a gloss black painted Badlands grill and the standard gray hardtop, which if a Wildtrak, should have the black painted top. Preproduction mule?
  17. Peek at Rapid Red Wildtrak Bronco in Jim Farley interview

I'm sorry, but that gray top looks like a faded Wrangler TJ hardtop that's spent its life outside... I love everything else though.
  18. Arguing in home about manual or automatic Transmission

Since my wife and I started dated in 2003, I’ve had 6 manual transmission cars (Porsche 944, Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo, 3 Challengers RT and SRT, and a DeLorean). I’ve tried teaching her on most of those vehicles. The only one she semi got was a 392 SRT Challenger since it’s harder to kill in 1st...
  19. 6th Gen Bronco to Succeed where the Hummer h3 Failed.

My H3 Alpha to my new Bronco, “Hold my V8.”
  20. 6th Gen Bronco to Succeed where the Hummer h3 Failed.

I also used to view the H3 as a poser. Then I took a second look, body on frame and if equipped correctly (Adventure Package aka Off Road Package on Alpha), it can give a Wrangler a run for its money and has a better interior, better on road manners, more horsepower etc. than the Wranglers of...
