Yep, looking forward to doing business with my home town Ford dealer Autonation Ford Southwest Fort Worth, who has committed to honoring X-plan on Bronco orders and no mandatory dealer-installed options or other gimmicks. Earns my business every time.
Granger Ford (Albert), I sincerely appreciate the information you provide. Your transparency reflects credit on the dealership and the Ford brand. Wishing you a mountain of business!
Thanks for sharing. Really need a Big Bend fix (was just talking with the fam about that), and can't wait for the first trip in Bronco. The stars at night are big and bright. . . . Awesome!
Oh, yeah, the step boards. These do a lot to visually define the vehicle. Room for improvement IMO. The OB specs page description is "tube step - powder coated". Maybe the production part will be more in keeping with a Bronco look?
Stationed overseas? Try Military Autosource - https://www.shopmyexchange.com/Exchange New Car Sales/6656041?iid=exchange-new-car-sales. Retired a while ago, but living overseas near a major US military installation 2015-2018 saw a fair number of young GIs driving nice F-150s and Mustang GTs...
Boston182, I don't disagree with anything you're saying. 2-dr Squatch is just a more badass truck, period. But g-- d--- it, get me my lipstick and stiletto-heeled f-me pumps, I'm going for a DRIVE in my 4-door Outer Banks :) Let's RIDE!!!
8/7 - I took a cut at an Excel spreadsheet gear ratio/speed calculator, starting with 2.3L and manual transmission. Transfer case ratio, final drive ratio, and tire size are selectable. I'm attaching the file for anyone who wants to play with it. I'm going to work one up for 2.7L/auto as well...
Just the way ours will be sitting, on 18" alloys with 70-series A/Ts, ready for park road/fire road duty. Doesn't look half bad! p.s. chomping at the bit for the configurator . . . .
Good point. I’ve read the same, plus potentially Land Cruiser on the same platform as well. Evolutionary in the sense of familiar body on frame architecture utilizing lessons learned from previous generations. Not a body-cladded Highlander with AWD and black painted wheels. ?
I’m with you. Wife and I love the 2021 Bronco. That said the upcoming 2022 4Runner is our Plan B if Bronco launch goes sideways. Expecting traditional conservative Toyota evolution rather than radical redesign. However updated power train options, driver aids and latest infotainment. We...
Gotta agree. Several features fighting against high-speed highway comfort:
- Large frontal area, including those big old mirrors (wind noise)
- All-terrain tires (road noise)
- Removable roof and doors (not optimum for sound insulation)
That said, I gotta get me one. I CAN drive . . . 55 (or...
Toyota announced 2021 TRD Pro models will feature a new paint color - "Lunar Rock". A little copy catting going on? (https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a33233678/2021-toyota-4runner-trd-pro-new-color-wheels-revealed/)
Greetings Aussieshed, noticed you have an Alpha Stelvio. Off-thread, but can't help asking - how are you liking it? Spent significant time working in Switzerland over the past couple of years and noted they are popular with the mountain road drivers. I read in Car & Driver the Stelvio...
