  1. Blizzard wheeling in North Dakota

It looks familiar as I’m at our Northern Minnesota lake home right now sitting in the same storm. I just ran to the grocery store for some supplies and the last 2 miles of the road to our home isn’t plowed and the Bronco and Falken Wildpeaks loves to play in the snow, lol. I’ll get the...
  2. Feds to up Interest Rates

Interest rates for car loans and mortgages are not high when looking at the averages for the past 50 years. The real pain will be if the high inflation continues to stay far above historical averages. Recent inflation is like a tax on everything you buy but it obviously hits the middle and...
  3. What’s your most annoying feature on the Bronco?

The upgraded B&O stereo, the instrument cluster, and the fit and finish are all awful but overall I love the Bronco. It’s my first capable off-road vehicle and I love the ability to drop the top and take the doors off.
  4. Terrible Rust Throughout My Bronco Interior - How Did It Happen?

Those headrests rusting is certainly a sign that some salt air condensed on those brackets. We have a waterfront condo in Naples with a convertible parked less than 150 yards from the ocean, often outside, and I’ve never seen rust on chromed inside surfaces. We do get that salty film on our...
  5. It’s 2024. Your second Bronco… what would you like to see?

I love to have a diesel option but that’s not going to happen. Our diesel Range Rover averages 29mpg and also has a tow capacity of 7,800 lbs. I get the same mileage from the Rover when towing 5,000 lbs. as I get with the Bronco just driving it solo, lol.
  6. Need opinions on what to do with the rock rail holes

The factory hoop steps are the expensive option. Grommets along with undercoating/bedliner is the easy and inexpensive option.
  7. Paint bubble defects

I have an eye for paint defects after spending the last 20 years of my career in the Automotive Collision industry. I’ve taken a very close look at mine and my Eruption Green Bronco had just some minor issues with the metal flake orientation and a dozen small dirt nibs that were easily...
  8. Is your Bronco the most expensive vehicle you’ve bought?

For me it is but I drove company cars for over 20 years until I retired 5 years ago so until the Bronco, I haven’t bought a car for me to drive since 1993. My wife’s 2015 Tesla was more as was the 2018 Range Rover that she still drives.
  9. Multiple Katzkin kits installed

Yes, I did mahogany on my Eruption Green one and the match with the OEM trim is close enough.
  10. Any one regret not getting a Raptor?

If I could have bought one at MSRP I would have immediately flipped it. The looks do nothing for me and the two I’ve seen in parking lots so far( one at a high end shopping mall and one at a restaurant) were both parked 90Āŗ taking up 3+ parking spots. Those two owners obviously think they are...
  11. Bronco Floor heat POLL

I have Lux with auto climate control and have no issues with the front floor heat but I’m someone who has a body thermostat that runs warm. I hopped in it the other morning when it was parked overnight outside at -10ĀŗF and within 5-6 minutes everything was comfortable. I have no idea about...
  12. Finally got my Wildtrack ( and under MSRP)

Running boards definitely help as my daughter has the factory running boards on her ā€˜22 Bronco with the same 315/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks that are on my ā€˜23. Her’s also got the full PPF treatment, doesn’t have mud flaps(I don’t like the look), and so far at 17,000 miles, the PPF has taken a...
  13. Finally got my Wildtrack ( and under MSRP)

Indeed. I ditched the Goodyears for Wildpeak AT3W’s at 210 miles and there was a small chip on the passenger door with only paved roads for those miles. I did a full 3M PPF at 300 miles as I plan on keeping mine 15+ years so the $3,500 for some extra protection was an easy decision for me.
  14. What do you see from your office window?

Now that I’m retired, a lot of Minnesota sunrises on the lake during the summer and a lot of Florida sunsets during the winter. Life is about the journey. . :)
  15. New Katzkin XT Stone Leather Seats Installed

The door panels are the OBX factory ones that came with the cloth interior. I paid $225 extra to have the armrest done in leather.
  16. New Katzkin XT Stone Leather Seats Installed

My first quote on the Katzkin leather from my dealer was $1,695 installed, $500 cheaper than the factory leather which is a fair price IMO. I’m exactly the opposite on the Bronco logo, I’d pay extra to not have it. Mine is debadged and if I ever put a fender badge on it, it will be this one. :)
  17. ERUPTION GREEN Bronco Club

Mahogany and I dropped it off at my dealer and it was back to them in two days. I hadn’t even looked at the backside but I just did and it’s the same factory like black carpeting. I also have a 2022 Bronco with factory leather in the garage that I just compared it to and it’s tough to tell...
  18. Who's adding Keyless Keypad Entry and why?

It can be ordered after the fact. I have it because I don’t want my keys with me when camping, skiing, diving, cycling, etc. The area where we sometimes camp 200 miles north of our home along the Canadian border have zero cell coverage so using the Fordpass app is not an option. It took me...
  19. Would you buy a Manual Bronco now?

I contemplated a manual after have only owning manuals the first 20 years after getting my license. In the end I didn’t need the manual for for rock crawling and I wanted the extra torque of the V6 which will soon get the Ford performance upgrade. I’d really like a 6-speed V8 to keep forever...
  20. Keypad mounted inside gas door on Bronco Raptor

This is the reason I ordered. We go camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern MN where there is no cell coverage. We leave the keys in the vehicle. It’s refreshing to have no contact with the outside world for a week or so.
