Oh, you’ll love my rack.
Design is 90% complete. There’s some tweaking on the carbon fiber wind fairing that we’re working on and some light cosmetic stuff in the light bar. Now that it’s moving on as a full blown product and not just an idea, I’ll create a thread for the roof rack in the...
Dude, like I explained earlier, the painted placards are the bottle neck. I received painted samples of the placards and some of the colors were off. This is the same paint vendor we use for the console badge painting. Why the colors were so off blows my mind. This should have been a slam dunk...
The driver and passenger side badge will each get a side specific template to ensure your placement is money. 👌
To that point, you'll also receive 3M Surface Prep and 3M Adhesive Promoter for an OEM+ bond.
Those are your center console badge stainless screws. The first run wasnt't machined to my liking and I punted them. We shipped the console badges without the supplied screws. Now that the screws are dialed in, you can now make your console badge nice nice.
And we’re off! The six main billet mounts are squared away. We’ll continue to hone in on the proper dimensions for the rack itself. We’ll machine our own billet corner sections for a seamless look.
The forward mounts will have hidden mounting hardware, where it secures at the windshield frame...
Not at all. The fender badges will be ready for install, once the surface is prepped and the installation template is installed. The finish will last years and years and years.
Depending on the lug seat, the TETON Ti's would still be applicable to aftermarket wheels. Lug studs are still M12 x 1.5. DEFENDER (most all Land Rovers) have a totally different style lug nut. Some other Euro vehicles use a ball seat.
I never even thought lug nut theft was even a thing. I mean, you'd have to know exactly what they were and spend hours devising a plan and shadowing the vehicle for the perfect moment to do the deed. It's not like people drive up and down the aisles at target with an electric impact from Harbor...
For a quantity of 27, USA forged Grade 5 titanium, roll formed threads, and machined by yours truly, that’s an amazing price. If people are after cheap junk, they’re clicking on the wrong threads. You won’t find my stuff on Amazon. 🙂
Wait until you see the wheels we’ll be machining.
The time to SEND IT is here.
There are 10 sets (of 27 lug nuts) machined and stacked up at the laser for finishing. I loaded up 6 more titanium bars in the bar feeder and the AR | LUG NUT MACHINE is off and running!
If you do opt for the black PVD finishing, over the standard raw, those will...
The most readily available is our black or Graphite Black Picatinny or smooth rails. The other semi custom colors take a bout double the time to finish.
