Thanks for posting this update. I think I’ll swap my spacers for a thinner washer and give it a go. I assume there’s no ill affect from making this change….

Very interesting. I installed with the washers per the instructions and have a similar gap to your original pic. I wonder if there is any other downside to skipping the washers?

Totally agree about the painted lip. I’ve been thinking about this with the Wildtrack grille but not sure enough of an edge is there…

Not sure, but would like to know the answer to your question as well. Which grille is this btw? And how closely does it match the other factory matte black trim on your truck? I’m considering doing the same…
